I remember when it was just me and moke and I thought I thunmled changing the stream and it wasn't even my fault since xsplit or something didn't work as it was supposed to

Broodwar was/is an awesome game. Maybe the best game I've played. It is nice to see that is still not died due to some incredible people. But on the other hand I cannot understand why you guys don't move further to sc2. Changing is a natural thing.. SC2 was released and it is good. Balance wise the gap is almost closed, streaming posibilities are much better then in bw.
Anyhow.. if you love doing this, keep up, you are doing an amazing job.

So I suck at broodwar. I beat myself up over the game, and I never seem to improve. A few years ago, I discovered that by watching streams, I could still experience the game that I hold in such high regard without the crushing stress. There was a long period of time where with pretty much every waking moment I had, I'd be on broodwar streams. Fucking always. A constant presence in every single chat. You can imagine how excited I was when your stream began to take off.

I'm inconsistent as fuck with my habits, and people and things just come and go. But your stream's always there. It's one of the few reliably good parts of my life. Pretty much any time I'm down, bored, or in one of those moods, I know that I can count on some high level bw. I feel a little silly saying this - but I somehow doubt there are other viewers that enjoy and rely on your stream as much as I do.

It's funny - even though I just passively watch (vs treating every game like a rep), I think your stream has improved my play. Take this iccup season, where I hadn't been doing my usual things to improve. I hadn't been playing at all, I lost all my practice partners other than based Rlentless, I didn't constantly bombard gosu players with questions, and I didn't study any reps or vods. But to my surprise, I hit C, didn't struggle at all compared to the only other time I managed to do it, and I didn't even rely on zvz, map abuse, or cheesy play for easy points. How? From constantly being exposed to good BW. I still have some ridiculous dreams of becoming a gosu at broodwar, and though watching alone won't take me there, it seems that your stream has pushed me forward towards that goal.

The other things you do to keep things running - how you appoint mods, how you oversee everything, forwarding stream revenue to sonic and such - it's all beyond me. I remember the stream being down one time, and I jokingly wanted to rush into your stream thread to be part of the angry mob, but then I got stopped. You had already posted in your thread and explained the situation, along with letting us know how long we'd have to wait and all that. That dedication and on-top-of-everything-ness really put into perspective just how consistent your stream had been and would continue to be. Your mod team is amazing too, and I take their work for granted. They're ALWAYS there, they're always watching over the stream, they're always looking out for who else is streaming, and they'll even ask viewers which streams they'd prefer. It's fucking nuts.

I'm deeply grateful for what you've done. You had great vision in starting this project, and it's become something real for me. thx meng

Can't believe ICCUP hasn't implemented automated matchmaking yet.

You say that BW was the best game you've played (most of the BW players feel the same). So why would you/we play the game that is not the best game you/we have played?
