So I'm sure many of you in the US gets random class action lawsuits for products or services you've had in the past such as DRAM, cable fees, phone fees, bank fees, etc etc. Most require some proof of purchase and/or documentation of sorta that typically I long ago have thrown away, so I usually just skim the class-action-settlement requirements, then give up. Most of the time the pay out is so obscure to determine (like the DRAM one) it wasn't worth looking into.

A few months back I get one for my Honda Civic. Apparently the control arms for a few model years were faulty and could result in irregular tire wear leading to shorten tire life. I did remember being surprised when I had to replace my oem tires so quickly, but didn't really think I had the proof necessary to submit.

Fast forward to this week. I was cleaning out my "important stuff' cabinets, and lo and behold, I found both my tire receipts (MXV4s!) and the tire mounting receipt that indicated the remaining tread thickness which were the critical support needed (just needed to ms paint some mileage) and I will see if wasting my time and some postage will get me my first class-action-settlement check!
