I am currently in Turkey for a week, where I can get alcohol cheap and easy as a 17 year old. However, I was wondering if I would be able to bring it back to the UK in my suitcase. The law states that I have to be 18 to bring alcohol back into the country, but I am wondering what the chances are that I would be caught with the alcohol, and whether, when they check cases, my age would be onscreen or whatever.

Anyone had any experience with stuff like this? I don't really wanna take the risk if theres a decent chance I'm gonna get caught.

Don't do it. Alcohol isn't worth the risk anyways. In a year you can buy it legally anyways.
