Day1
Dear Journal~
Today's my first day on the job! The commanders finally approved of my application to go out into the real field, and it's about time too! I don't miss a beat with my mining, graduated top of the class in probing school too! There was no silly lollygagging, me and the 5 other first recruits were put to work right away. It seems like this area is hostile, with some other group of rebellious protoss inhabiting the area. I'll probably be working my butt off for the next few days, at least until we bring in some more hands to help mine!
Day2
Dear Journal~
I built commander Phalanx a gateway today. It seems like the hostiles aren't going to be letting this area go for free, putting up some opposition. We'll most likely be calling in some zealot warriors to defend our base too... I sure do hope that our guys know how to fight!
I also went on my first scouting mission today. It's as if our commander didn't even check the immediate proximity of our base before making the base! What if the enemy had already set up some sorts of fortifications!? If I get promoted enough, I'll make sure to check these stupid things before hand. As it stands, there seems to be no hostile presence in the area though.
Day3
Dear Journal~
It seems like the first sightings of the hostiles have come around while I was scouting... and when I come back, lo and behold, that son of a bitch is still around in our base!!! All of our probes were just concentrating on their work... perhaps we were still in the middle of negotiations with our hostile presence. I still don't trust the decision to just let one of their probes in, just spying on what we're doing.
Day4
Dear Journal~
I got to see my first real zealot today. They really do look quite viciuos, with blades of pure energy pulsing out of their frickin' arms. This one went in a straight line to go slaughter the hostile probe; it seems like our commander has decided to utilize negotiations via brute force. I almost felt sorry for that other guy, to get killed by such a strong warrior... but at least his pain will be short. Anyways, we have real work to do. Our leaders need the precious resources of this planet, and we're not about to just up and give them up to some rebellious savages.
Day5
Dear Journal~
Today I made my first real friend since I got to this new front; His name was Mike, a stalker. I was sort of creeped out at first because of his whole metal-limbs thing that was going on, but we got pretty close after he showed me some magic tricks with teleportation. He called it "blink", rightly named so too. It seemed that the commander wanted us to install that twilight council earlier so that all of the stalkers that they warped in would be able to use this trick. I don't quite see the point, but I guess it's fun. However, how good would fun do in a serious fight against an enemy?
I friended him on Khala-book, and headed off for a long distance scouting mission. I might not be able to come back for a while, so I made sure to pack some good snacks.
Day6
Dear Journal~
My long distance scouting mission seems to have been primarily to create a pylon in the proximity of a siege that would be commencing soon. More and more stalkers were getting warped in, and the tension in the area was starting to build up; I can tell that there's going to be some blood shed soon. Top secret intel gathered that there may be some capital ships defending the hostile's fortifications, most likely those new and fearful "voidrays".
I saw Mike there as well. He seemed a bit nervous since it was going to be his first big fight too, but the others were saying that the plan was to be using hit-and-run guerrilla tactics. I do hope that he gets out safely.
Day7
Dear Journal~
I watched as the stalkers started attacking the hostile protosses. I fled as soon as I could after placing another pylon RIGHT at the battle field... boy did I get afraid! Those voidarys really were quite a marvel to watch, with beams of pure energy blasting away at the stalkers. The battle is raging on, That whole "blink" trick seemed to be used to bring the stalkers who's shields were depleted back behind the healthier ones. A pretty nice trick, I must admit, and a very good way to keep our casualties to a minimum.
Day8
Dear Journal~
I've been sent back to go mining again, but the siege still continues. Mike contacted me on Khala-book, saying that there was a big fight the other day. It seemed like some hostile sentries had nearly stranded a few of our stalkers to slaughter them alone, but thanks once again to "blink" they were able to escape. Whew! It seems like we haven't even lost any of our army yet! I'm very glad to hear that Mike was still safe too. It seems like he and the other stalkers seem to have made friends with someone called Emily. Apparently she's very popular among our expeditionary units across the galaxies, always flying in to provide help for our forces. Mike sent me a selfie of hers with the caption "lol nearly died! #YOLO!"
Day9
Dear Journal~
Mike says that the battle front is getting harsher and harsher. Apparently the commander sensed an opportunity and made the stalker army blink towards the enemy in order to kill off voidrays. It seems like there were lots of stalker casualties in the fray, especially since they had temporarily lost their means of retreat. It seems like a bunch of stalkers are having doubts against our commander... they lost lots of their stalker comrads, just to kill off a few voidrays.
Day10
Dear Journal~
Commander Phalanx has ordered the creation of a new nexus today. I assume that the siege at the hostile's base is working out quite well, and perhaps we're just going to go ahead and start up more mining operations to send back to our leaders. I expect us to start recruiting a lot more probes into the work force any day now.
Some of the probes in my area have been whispering about making some sort of union, to protest the commander's odd requests. I, for one, think that following his commands is for the best. What do we know? We just mine minerals. None the less, a lot of these guys seem like they're unsatisfied.
Day11
Dear Journal~
Today the tattered survivors of Mike's stalker squadron stumbled back to the base. Apparently their sentry had fallen asleep on the job, allowing the hostile zealot warriors to lead an assault onto the besieging forces. There are now reports of a massive counter-offensive being led by the hostile forces. With Emily called away due to "inappropriate conduct" (none of us know any details other than there was a little bit less than no clothing), it seems to me like our base isn't going to be able to hold.
The other probes are getting anxious too. Only a couple of probes were sent to the newest mining site, and they were new recruits at that. Poor guys, probably are going to be the first to go.
Day12
Dear Journal~
The hostile protoss is at our new mining site. The nexus was demolished in moments, and our forces couldn't do a thing about it. It seems like commander Phalanx has forsaken the few probes who were left at the expansion, leaving them to the mercy of the zealots. Sentries are now posted near our base's perimeter to keep them out of our base. Even Emily was called back for some temporary suppliment to defenses, although she seems to be unallowed to make "contact" of any kind with anyone.
In the mean time, it seems like our commander has a last trick up his sleeve. 3 dark templar mercenaries were hired to sneak in to the hostile mining camp and disrupt their work. Rumor has it that they can't be seen by the untrained eye. If these guys were around to defend our base, now, I'd feel a little bit safer.
Day13
Dear Journal~
Our base is under direct fire as I write. The enemy is destroying many of the structures that our workers pain stakingly created, and our stalkers don't even seem to be numerous enough to fend off all of the void rays. This is not looking good, not at all. Emily is no where to be seen, although the nexus has activated Photon Overcharge; a weapon unique to her use. Some say that she's off being shady again, some claim that she was killed in battle.
The others are working seemingly calmly, but I know that they think it's over. Our base is in shambles, and worst of all their forces are overwhelmingly numerous. The dark templar are nowhere to be seen while our base is under attack. They'd better have a good reason for it.
Day14
Dear Journal~
Well this is it. Our main nexus has bee blown up by the intense fire from voidrays. It seems like a single dark templar was brought to clean up the hostile ground forces, but since they don't shoot upwards, the voidrays are still raining lasers down on us.
Our commander has called the immediate evacuation alarm. Us probes knew that the field would be harsh, so we didn't have much to take with us. We began to rush out, but even then I saw quite a few of the probes that I worked with, shared laughs with, get caught behind as we ran. I didn't need to look back to know what happened to them, feeling the heat from their exploding bodies behind me.
Day15
Dear Journal~
I honestly don't know what day it is, or even where I'm at. Me and the survivors from our base have been running on day and night, searching for a safe area to hide. I heard that some of us were ordered to go out in search and destroy missions, seeking out the remainders of the enemy's base. While our base was being ravaged, it seems like the dark templar carried out their part of the deal, destroying the hostile mining camp themselves.
I was sent a personal and secret mission by the commander; the creation of a whole new, hidden Nexus. I was hesitent at first to recieve such a large task, but I had no time to waste. I made the new base while my comrade probes were fighting. I felt like a little bit of a coward - But this is all for the survival of our mission on this planet.
Day16
Dear Journal~
This battle field is starting to look more like a game of cat and mouse than a fight over resources. Both us and the hostiles have resorted to hiding Nexii in the area, and both of us has forces that can't be hit by each other. It's as if 2 guerrilla armies are trying to fight each other, yet they just can't find where the other one is.
I can't be sure of any intel at this point, it may all be a ruse; However, if my sources can be trusted, the dark templar might have just found the hostile's hidden nexus. This is great news if true, since it means that we will then be able to freely scan the area for hostile structures, ridding this area of their presence at last.
Day17
Dear Journal~
I'm afraid that the time I have left isn't long. A void ray flew over our hidden base today, bringing death to all under it's beam. On the bright side - if anyone even has the balls to be bright in this time of tension - the dark templar had rid the hostiles of their hidden base, and we now know the places of their final structures.
It now seems like this battle is going to be a race against time, which of our armies can kill the other first. I'm just sad that I won't be able to see the last of it. Maybe my life will have not been in vain though... maybe our templars will save our honor.
Day18
Dear Journal~
This seems like my last entry into you, journal. It seems like something hit me right on a weak spot. I can't move, and I can see parts of myself strewn about... Dying feels strangely humbling. I gave a good fight, if I may say so for myself. Memories of me and my mining crew fly through my last watts of energy... oh the fun we had...
My consciousness is quickly slipping away, but I still can hear my communication unit.... it sounds like the templar caught their last probes?... there's a lot of static. It sounds like they're converging on the last pylon... Heh, I almost feel happy with my last spark of life...

Went for a blink stalker all-in, got too aggressive trying to pick off voidsrays, decided to try to contain. Failed to contain, got attacked, failed to defend. When behind, darkshrine. No detection from Luke. Extreme baserace. I win.
I started writing this and it got a lot longer than I expected... o.O I hope that any of you bored readers can find some enjoyment in the endeavors of Johnson, the probe! Have a great day, thanks for reading, and GL HF!
