So it's been a pretty freaking day for the last 2 hours. Someone in telecommunication company fucked something up and :

1. Our phone number is not working, which means that anyone who wants to have a talk with me or any of my collegues is not able to do it.
2. All of the calls incoming to company "Platan", which is placed in the same city but owns a totally different number are redirected to us.

So I've been sitting there like a moron for last 2 hours, answering phones from people who wants to call Platan and I have to explain them there is a central problem and it's being fixed atm.

Sick day, lol.

The funny thing is that Platan is a company, which takes care of telecommunication as well (at least partially) as some routers, servers and other things. Impersonating Platan rep would be fucking funny, I admit but I guess I have no heart to fuck them up.

Unless it will come out that someone from Platan accidentaly ordered calls-redirection to our company. Then I'd get my sweet revenge !

Would have been more interesting if the two companies were heated competitors, then you could answer all the calls with "I regret to inform you that we are going out of business and redirecting all our customers to: your company" heh

In the US that would almost be grounds for promotion in our ridiculous telecom call centers.

It's a good portion of their job to just try in as many ways possible to nickle and dime you to death while trying to retain your business at all costs.

Rofl. I get random calls from who knows where probably 2-3 times a week and I'm allliekwtfphonecompanyyy. I can't imagine getting like 50 a day. xD
