Daily Ladder-age #30: Hating PvT again

The match up was a PvT, on the map Derelict Watchtower. Probe Johnson goes in and scouts as per usual, and scouts a lack of barracks. Hmmm, what could it be... I was pretty wary at first of a proxy rax, but soon I saw the scv count and pretty much realized that this was a CC first build. Now, I'm not all too familiar with CC first as of recent, so my reaction to it was definitely not the right one.



I decide that I want to try to punish this... After all, in the past I remember having won quite a few games by rushing with a stalker against a CC first. However, those memories obviously were from when I was in a lower league. The bunker was up and my pressure was thwarted.


Damnit stalker why you do dis.

Aaaand at this point I already am quite far behind on most aspects. Because I was originally trying to do some sort of 3gate pressure, I made 3 gateways fast, so that delayed the creation of my natural. Since I made 3 gateways but didn't actually use them, they also turned into a pretty big waste of minerals and time for that early on in the game. I really rue this decision, wish I didn't make it. Again, my reaction against a CC first was really not set.


Continuing to macro.

So far behind that I basically lose from his first attack. My colossi finishes a couple seconds too late to save my nexus, and although he waits for a while before his killing blow, the game just about ended there.


So fast loss that I don't even have much to say.
