Something to do while waiting for the games to start in Dreamhack!

Here is an old mix made from tracks from various game classics.
Some should be quite easy, some a bit harder.

This set is meant as a progression into madness, with a note of hope in the end, yet again is it hope or just an illusion of hope... You decide.

Now, find me the tracks! Make your best guesses.
I think game music is not indexed by Shazam and such

so don't bother cheating!
I hope to wake up some nostalgia at least a bit.

Definitely Diablo, but leaning towards I and not II. Snare drum gives it away haha.

LOL. End of Star 1 Terran Campaign. Mengsk makes this cheating.
JRPG on the PS1 is my first thought. Not any FF tho.
Dunno about the gamelan-like bells here. Can't place it.
Voices sound somewhat familar, but I can't place it. It's from the same source as something previous here though (thematic material).

Edit: oh, giving specific time periods is cheating haha. Had more fun trying to guess with 0 info.
Double Edit: ~~Still can't figure where #1 is~~Found it! but lol duh yea that's why I recognized it haha.

Ok I put them in a spoiler tag, I thought it's a bit easier if you don't want to listen to 30 min of music and just quickly browse through.

Anyway, I am amazed at your deductions

, I know giving time periods is a bit of a give away but it would be easier for me to validate some of your guesses, or maybe if you give the time stamp to the guess, I can check.

I'll put hints you got right or close to right in spoilers also.

Edit: and #1 you should definitely recognize! :D!!

The part at 9:05 - 9:16 feels incredibly familiar. I've definitely heard that before

I believe the Aztec level from Goldeneye was used, was it not? Starting at 9:35? Haven't played it in a while.

Either that or is it the Woodlands temple from Majora's Mask? Those are my two guesses.

Miicro got it right, I put that song back then because it's so hard to guess from which game it is, like you would never expect something from that game ending up in a set like this.
