I walked onto my porch and peered with my binoculars into the house that was hosting the party. It seemed they were about to bring the piñata outside and pummel it to death when it started to rain. The gods were on my side today, for they brought the piñata back inside and hung it up. Perfect.
I gazed in delight as they started beating the poor animal. A leg fell off and all the children started screaming in terror. The wasps started pouring out and stinging everyone. Women and children were not spared from their painful wrath.
What a glorious end to John's 5th birthday. Maybe next time I tell him not to hit his wiffleballs into my backyard, he'll listen.
