What is This Damn Song Called!!

This is a super pointless blog. Won't get a high rating and may even get closed, but this has been bugging (read, making me go insane) me for over a week now, since Flash vs. Ret at MLG Dallas.

The song played at the end of game 2 and also played at the end of a lot of the games, but this is where I first heard it.

Here is the song (starts at 14:32, can't get it to link at that time for whatever reason):

+many internets for whoever can tell me! I already looked through the entire MLG playlist posted on their site and couldn't find it, and that was like 100 songs that I put into youtube, maybe more, and most of them were crappy.

Also checked forums, etc. no dice. Help!!

Your best bet is probably to email MLG - not sure which person or department.

BUT I can tell you that this "song" is probably a loop from an "incidental" or "background" music collection. There are collections of music like this that are used widely by productions (think low budget or cable access, theatrical productions of non-musicals that call for music as an interstitial or mood modifier) that can't afford or just don't see a need to pay for the expense of writing and recording their own music. It's an obvious repeat (you can hear the track repeat towards the end of the video) track of an incidental nature (ie, it's meant to be background to something else, or as an outro to a scene).

Source - I was once involved in local cable access and college cable channel broadcasting. There were several very nice (but somewhat more expensive than average CD) sets of music, usually as a themed package, sold with public broadcasting rights included for the purpose of adding atmosphere to productions of all kinds. (Of course, in those days, production took place using actual SVHS tape decks, not this digital stuff.)
