Also, mtdew's post speaks truth. Also also, that "Abusive Parents" blog is perhaps not the best example, as it was truly ridiculous. I cannot fathom how anyone would read something titled "Abusive Parents" which contains the line "They didn't even buy me an iPhone" and respond with empathy. I'm often snarkier than is perhaps called for, but come on. Really? | ||

My profile says 2010. I've been here a while longer. Iranon - I read that part as him being upset he never got any birthday gifts or anything. It was pretty entitled sounding but it was one line in the post that everyone jumped on, ignoring the rest of it and the entire point of the blog. | ||

You don't remember when Rekrul was modding and Chill posted actively in blogs section? Fanatacism, CM, moltkewarding, Mani even. The old TL vets were way more belligerent when it came to someone they thought was stupid. Nowadays, the mods are mostly impersonal and cleave to site policy rather than individual biases. The kids just whine about balance. There's hardly anywhere near as much venomous hatred between fans of rival teams, just in general TL is much more benign than how it used to be. Sure, there was more chumminess between members who knew each other, but when it came to general reactions to idiocy, TL was a much more hostile place in the past. | ||
