It is a somewhat extraordinary feeling being a Brood War fan. Not only do we still get overwhelming amounts of quality content, but we have years and years of rich history filled with breathtaking games, epic stories and fun moments to come back to. Only discovering the game some 2 years ago, for me going back is as exciting as going forwards. In this blog series, you can accompany me on a journey through space and time continuum (or discontinuum?) to get but a glimpse of all the buried treasures waiting for us to re-discover. The series is dedicated to everyone who has in any way helped document the vast Brood War history and make it so easily accessible for us and the future generations.
On this cold cloudless monday most of us are excited to see the ultimate mortal enemies, Jaedong and Flash, clash yet again in the upcoming KT Rolster vs. Hwaseung Oz war. KT isn't doing too well placing 8th in the total ranking and so many are surprised that the team wouldn't use its secret weapon.
Violet has KT's trust despite his recent 5-10 record, but just how well can he deal with his first opponent being none other than Jaedong? After stepping down as captain of KT due to the return of his own rolemodel, Reach, the young protoss seems to be regaining his former strength... + Show Spoiler [There are spoilers in this spoiler.] +Although Violet cannot pull an allkill, he helps his team win the match by taking out Jaedong, Killer and PerfectMan (as his teammate Stats manages to stop HiyA) and, as always, he wins our hearts. Only to be diagnosed with a form of acute leukemia ten days later. After a year and a half of struggle, Violet eventually looses his battle despite his determination and cheerful mindset which we could experience first-hand from his activity on these very forums.
Where and when do we go next? If you have an idea for the next trip, let me know (but please try avoiding any spoilers). This series will be updated irregularly. Note: You can see Killer, PerfectMan and HiyA, play regularly on snipealot's 24/7 FPV restream and in the 8th SonicTV StarLeague.

I have played Starcraft since 1998 and followed the pro scene lightly-religiously since 2008ish and I still LOVE the idea of this blog. So jazzed on this. 5 stars ezpz

I had just seen a post of yours about the TLS and happened to click the "blog" link by your name, not knowing you had done this. It's really touching, Stratos.
I wish I could say more, but there's nothing else to say. Thank you.

As I missed quite a lot about the BW scene and its history (only barely knowing who was good, the name of the leagues, some epic moves etc), I'm already a fan of this series ! I hope it helps me catch up with BW history !
