The "mini"van in the OP certainly wasn't helping.

I think all of those solutions are dangerous for the safety of your vehicle. Wherever you park it, someone might run into it. What you should do, is add a hell of a lot of armored plating to your car, so the damage goes onto the vehicle that runs into you, not vice versa!

How does she hit your car in a dual lane driveway on a wiiiiide as hell cul de sac to do a wide turn on.
Or is the driveway 1.5 car widths like the garage? in which case whoever is home first parks in the garage.
Live in Canada? Is it winterpeg? -- Plug the blockheater in. Is it never more than -30 celsius where you live? She can deal with it.

I made a more accurate layout of the situation like so, and the ideal situation if we were both awesome drivers. ( its a cul de sac, but excel doesn't like curved cells )

The actual situation: We have too much crap. The civic is a coupe (sweet sweet riced up with not one, but two stickers) the SUV is a Honda Pilot. Sorry U_G_L_Y, we are bad at organization. I will get a shed to put the excess crap in someday.

What I suspect would happen if I parked close to the garage: A new garage door sensor.
![[image loading]](http://i1301.photobucket.com/albums/ag119/Davlok/image_zpsccfcea02.jpg)
What I suspect would happen if I parked on the left: Matching side mirror ouchies and a new mailbox.

What I suspect would happen if I parked on the left further up: A new headlight.

So while I was walking our dog around the neighborhood, I came upon the realization that this exact situation has probably occured countless times throughout the years and the solution was starring me right in the face everytime I walked the dog: side parking space of inevitability!

Should be Solution E I guess! :-D

A concrete parking strip/RV pad will cost you about the same as a shed...
Again, based on your diagrams, you were parked in the best place you could have been

These diagrams are great!

Oh my god. Please diagram everything from now on.
I love this haha.
Could be way worse... + Show Spoiler +![[image loading]](http://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash3/486798_10151423532147722_1852696625_n.jpg) Taken inside of a college campus parking lot...

Yep, I was pretty sure I was parked in the best location if I were the one driving the SUV, but then again I am right handed (wife is left), I slow down for speed bumps, she doesn't, I like diet coke, she like pepsi, etc etc. But if we want to put down some more driveway will need to ask for permission from the ALL-POWERFUL home-owner-association. Or .... get a really big shed to park my car and all the extra crap!

True nothing some fingernails, touchup paint, superglue and duct tape couldn't handle to make look better from distance!

your diagrams are amazing hahahhahahahhaa

Hehe thanks, I still love my animated gifs from back from the 90s. Surprised they haven't added sound by now XD
But as a minor update, our garage door torsion spring broke last week, and had to wait a few days for the not-super-expensive repairman to come fix it, and had to risk parking next to the wife on the driveway... and it actually went without incident!
Here was the layout: I'd park in the upper left corner and told her to park anywhere on the right. Since we dirty americans drive on the right side of the road and sit on the left, it let her have a bit better vision and not have to judge the right side at all.
