Sup guys,
I'm heading to Paris from 5th February to 11th February. Yeehaw.
I was there two years ago and saw the most of the tourist crap... (Moulin Rouge, Montparnasse, Louvre, Champs Elysee, Versailles, etc etc). Not really interested in to see the same stuff again.
Maybe someone has been to Paris too and wants to share some nice places to see/visit? We're interested in seeing the city on daylight and going to some bars in the evening.
Thank you!

I try to have dinner at Chez Imogène each time I'm in Paris. It's a really small Breton restaurant where they serve mainly Galettes (more or less sour Crêpes) and Crêpes themselves, which go fantastically along with, of course, cidre. The waiter/owner is a really nice guy, too. So, 100% recommendation, and not expensive, either. So don't miss out on it

I have been alot of times, personnaly what i liked to most was vagabonding at night on the docks drinking wine and meeting people.
U could just take a random metro line get out on a random station and start walking

There is a lot of think to do in Paris. Too bad you are coming in winter so hanging out on the docks near the Seine in the evening is not as attractive as in summer (but do it anyway !). Here are some indoor stuff I like to do :
Museums :
*You already went to the Louvre, but did you limit yourself to the Painting exposition ? Because there is a lot more to it. I personnally really like the ancient egypt exposition. *Other mainstream museums include the Musée d'Orsay for paintings and the Musée du Quai Branly if you are more into primitive arts. *Smaller museums i really like include the Pinacotheque ( which has a really neat exposition how how japanese stamps influenced Van Gogh rigth now) and the Orangerie muséum.
Food There is so many restaurant in paris, it's really hard to only select a few ones. Here are two of my favorites (both around 40€/person if you include drinks) :
* The Livingstone Steak House, where you can have dinner or brunch. Possibly the best Burgers in Paris. I personnally and strongly recommend the Alexandre Astier Burger (veal, avocado and Tomme cheese from the Pyrénées)
* Les Symples de L'os a moelle (sry web page is in french, didnt see any english version). Its just outside Paris, but still accessible by Subway. A wide variety of french starters and dessert ( and you can try them all !), great food, great wine, maybe my favorite restaurant. Careful, reservation is mandatory.
Bars
As a avid gamer, my favorite bar in Paris is the Meltdown. Live tournaments streams( SC2, LoL, Dota), small tournaments everynigth, great drinks (the Dark Ritual cocktail is one of my fav).
Other that that, Great places to find bars are around the Luxembourg ( mainly students hangout there as it is near the Sorbonne University), around Bastille (Lots of really cool bars) and Montparnasse ( maybe a bit less here).

This is not a secret and is a tourist thing, but it's one of the most memorable things I've seen, so I'll suggest it: the catacombs.
