Through many surgeries and hospital stays I was forced to mature quickly, as I write this I'm 18, but tomorrow I'll be 19 :D
To sum up my medical history we went from doctor to doctor, hospital to hospital. In Philadelphia they couldn't figure it out and told me I had chronic pain. So I packed my bags and lived in Richmond, Minnesota for a month to attend their chronic pain rehab program. It started as hell but finally I started to feel changes. I made friends from all over the country that I will stay in contact with for the rest of my life. Before I went to the clinic I did a 2 week stay at Mayo Clinic itself and they tried to diagnose me to no success. When I got home I had the worst pains I'd ever experienced, and it had happened at the chronic pain rehab center but they told me it was just withdraw from painmeds...
Turns out I had a gangrenous gall bladder with gall stones, liver stones, and a liver that was draining back into my body. 3 Surgeries later that was behind me but still my old pains were very present, and kept me from living an ordinary life. It was discovered I have pseudo tumor which means my spinal pressure increases to 30-35 when a normal adult is at 10-15. After 15 spinal taps and ignorant doctors denying to operate and put in what is called a shunt to balance the spinal pressure naturally. I had it.
I went to Jefferson once I turned 18 and started to pursue a course of action, after 9ish months I met a neurosurgeon who agreed this was completely necessary and agreed to put it in.
December 17th my life changed, it was put in and I can already tell that my old pains are gone and everything I feel now is just surgical and I need to recover. This is a very shortened version of 7 years, but it's the best summary I could do XD
Starcraft 2 and World of Warcraft were my escape. Watching my favorite SC pros battle it out was inspiration that hard work in any aspect of life always pays off. Watching so much starcraft had me hooked on a dream: I will become the pro gamer to show that foreigners can compete at the top levels and give American gamers an icon to watch at tournaments.
This will take time, but when I put myself into something I am dedicated to it 100%. Starting today will be the rise of CVanG.
I'm also race changing from Toss to Terran because I am a history nut and obsess over WW2 history.
I study great tank battles and commanders so I feel it's only right to play the race with my favorite unit: the Siege Tank! Terran skill cap is so high as shown by MKP, Kas, Polt, etc. That I want to pour my heart into the game I love and hope to become a starcraft player to rival the GSL champions, and be a eSports personality that people can really sit down and enjoy when I'm streaming.
So hello to my favorite community, TL!
I'm looking forward to the new year and what I'll develop into.
Happy Holidays!
