Would people like an all American tournament?

Hello everyone, I was just curious if the starcraft community would be against an all American tournament. I know Americans aren't considered the best players on the planet, but viewers do increase when there is an American Vs Korean or any foreigner for that matter. I feel that the decrease in viewership in most tournaments is because of the abesence of peoples countrymen.
So... Would an American tournament be something people would watch If it were all GM level players? maybe not the best in the world but certianly not the worse, and hey! we might discover a few hidden players and some interesting strats

Let me know your opinions on the matter im interested in what people have to say about this subject.

i wonder why there arent any 8 man american invitationals or sth, it just doesnt happen... it happens in europe though occasionally.

If you're talking about just USA, then probably not.
North America, though? Maybe. We have a lot of people with big names and surprisingly small results, given their renown.

I think Scarlett would win any America only tourney 8/10.
edit: damn NA I mean, IF it was only US then it would be interesting (not that the games would be bad either way).

I like the idea but it would be better to open it as a NA tourney. American seems a little reserved... Overall I enjoy watching foreigners more because Koreans don't show off their personality as much. I feel Koreans rely more on their game skills to win fame and it makes it really hard for foreign fans to care and stay interested in them. Why cant we have both

Theres definately a few players who could beat her. She would probably be the favorite but not by that much. I would love to watch a NA tourney.

North America could happen, 'cause of Major and Scarlett mostly. Based on recent results, I'd say Scarlett could win a NA tourney.

Wasn't this kind of what WCS was supposed to be for, anyway?

We had one, it was called WCS USA and nobody cared. Was pretty much ignored during the course of the mlg ot ran woth.

Maybe if it had its own event people would've cared more...
