Yeah I was super confused too. I'm pretty sure I remember a reddit post where he said him and anna weren't creationists. Not a big deal but just ST_Curious about it. love you geoff, keep on keepin on. Who knows, you might be amazing at HoTs, it's a new game.

It's funny reading the sensationalism over something like this. We are both christian.. we aren't literal interpreters and we believe in the evolution process.

We keep that part of our lives very private because, well, the community at large doesn't seem to be very accepting of people with "different" beliefs.

I was raised catholic and had a wonderful young life and I continue to have a nice life now too.

IdrA is strongly athiest and one of my best friends. I wish more people were respectful/accepting of that kind of stuff.

I don't preach nor do I use my faith as some kind of shield nor do I think it makes me better than anyone.

Not trying to be sensationalist man, just curious as I saw a couple other people had the same question. 16y/o from a super conservative-christian family here and never heard of a christian that accepts the evolution process. Learn something new everyday.

In the most respectful way possible I think you would benefit from getting out more. The majority of people from every religion are more or less centrists and a majority of American Christians believe in the theories of evolution and gravity. They also don't believe in the 6000 year old earth.

I'm actually shocked that there are still people who equate church going with scientific denialism.

Sorry, dude. There's something about listening to family and friends ramble on and on literally every time they see each other about how stupid evolution is because there's still monkeys, How contreception of any kind is bad ect.ect. and then being forced to go to a church that yells the exact same thing that just makes a kid just hate everything about it. Welcome to small-town Missouri

Sorry for being uninformed

Christians not believing in gravity? I have never once in my life heard of anyone refuting the theory of gravity. Also, I would most definitely not say that the majority of American Christians believe in evolution. That makes no sense at all because they believe that God created the earth.

Do you have a source for any of these claims???

To keep things on topic... nice writeup Geoff, I enjoyed it. People give you far too much crap about things. Keep doing what you're doing.

I have never understood the hate that Geoff gets. I just don't get it. I always like watching your stream, when it's on, and your commentary. Even though your tournament results aren't the greatest we all know why...

Keep up the good work and good luck!

I am Christian and have literally hundreds of Christian friends. Don't know of a single one under 60 that doesn't believe in evolution.

I have a friend, 30+ years old who is a Chemical Engineer... she doesn't "Believe" in evolution because she has never seen a monkey turn into a human... true story

"believe in the theories of evolution and gravity" LOL, evolution is JUST a theory, right? can't believe how many people have told me so, and then get mad when I remind them of gravity being just a theory too

I dislike close-minded people, some of them are heavily influenced religious people, some of them are 'gnostic' atheists

And to keep on topic, nice post Geoff, I really hope you enjoy the next few months to come, thanks for the post =D

It may seem incongruous to you, but it is possible to believe both that earth was created by a god and that evolution is real. Many Christians believe that the world was created by god, but that it has changed over time.

Here's the latest major poll I could find on the subject.

I think the heated discussion on SOTG with Destiny is perhaps the worst I can think about you, but other than that I love your castings, especially your humour. :-) Keep up the good work and happy honeymoon!
