As an additional tip: Take a really good look at your health insurances and see what you are covered for abroad. In most cases, travel insurance and (regular) insurance plans don't cover longer stays abroad and you need to get a specialized insurance. | ||

I trained with a gym in Denmark, and they had several "partner" gyms in Thailand, offering shelter, basic food and training for a very low cost. Anyways, GL with your journey, it's gonna be awesome! I've traveled around in Thailand and nearby countries for some time, it's really awesome. Remember to visit Khao San Road in Bangkok for some awesome nights out (a lot of backpackers there). | ||

I used to be in Muay Thai club at my university in the suburb of Bangkok (Salaya, Nakhon Pratom) and I think there's a Muay Thai gym there. You might want to look for a gym that have a partner in Sweden, or gym that is not locate in the heart of Bangkok to get the price lower. For internet, don't get your hope up. We are very far behind in term of telecommunication, especially comparing to Sweden. 100MBs internet gonna cost you by a lot than it should be so be careful with that. About health, generally the cost in Thailand is not very high (comparing to the US) but for Swedish, it might be a lot higher if I remember correctly. So you might want to consult your health insurances about that. If you have any question, feel free to shoot me a pm. I will try to answer as best as I can (but I am in the US right now). | ||

On my vacation I'm planning to see if I can maybe find any potential future work there and get more information on how complicated it is to become a permanent resident. I also want to get to know as many people as possible to start getting integrated. I have much respect for the Thai culture, but to be honest I do not know much about the country yet, and I don't speak any Thai yet either, so I have a long way to go. Maybe I can meet some of you during my vacation and we can go for some drinks! Can't wait to be there again! | ||
