Polt begins with his infantry/medivac/ghost army below and to the left of, or south east of, the Protoss. He uses the shift command to move the army in a boomerang-shaped path up towards, and then left away, from the protoss army. He swoops in, just infront of the army, and then retreats. He intends for the protoss to try to engage because the attack appears over-aggressive, meaning pregnant with good storm opportunities. The protoss "bites" like a fish on the bait, hoping to abuse the infantry's over aggression with storm. Polt has other plans. With the Protoss ball chasing his infantry, Polt can engage on his terms. He optimizes the infantry by retreating, then splitting, and then stimming This however is not attack's power point. During all this, the crux of the attacks, the ghosts have taken a strategically planned alternate route. They take an alternate path that works in conjunction with the infantry. Incognito, thanks to cloaking, the ghosts travel left and then up as the infantry goes up to lure the protoss right. Polt hopes to catch undefended high templars with the ghosts. He knows the high templars, the strength of the protoss army, will be lagging behind the main army because of their slow movements speed. Undefended by the main army high templar are helpless from the ghosts. the ghosts go to work with EMP on the high templars, draining their energy with EMP and shooting them with high powered rifles. The engagement favours Polt very much. TL DR separates the high templar from the main army which allows his also separated ghosts to own the high templars that are too slow to keep with the protoss army that they require for defence from the ghosts. 5/5. keep doing these!!1 | ||
