EPTI retreat to the bathroom, it´s warmer there.
The floor has heating installed, the walls are thick from the wind outside.
My feet tingles softly standing on the hard warm floor.
I go to my room again, work has to be done.
So cold.
I cannot concentrate, I feel like there is a shell around me, encasing me from warmth.
The window, an invisible wall to the outside, yet unseen, yet it is so chilling.
My feet feels weak standing on the icy floor, restless and unnerving.
I retreat to the bathroom, it´s warmer there.
So cold.
There is solitude in the bathroom, I see my reflection and thus know firsthand the state of me.
I am going to shower. The warm water will keep me safe.
But I go to get my robe first, I remember well what happens after the shower.
As I enter the shower, I pour the steaming water onto me.
So cold.
I don´t know how long I am standing, it feels like an eternity.
But an eternity is not long enough, and I start to realize that this safe harbor is not to last.
As I turn off the water, I wonder what it was all for.
I put on my robe and sit down.
Tired and cold.
I have work to do
