Check out - Death Note, Darker than Black, Gamaran and Noblesse
|
Forgot Death note i've seen it a while ago! The others are unknown thanks!

Noblesse, Kubera, Magician and obviously Tower of God, are all Korean Manhwa's, readable on batoto.net
And One Piece is an absolute must, you can watch the anime if you don't like the manga. And one of the best mangas out there is Liar Game.

Blame! (Love or hate case, depends, dark cyberpunk) Hikaru no GO (Best shounen, author of Death note and imho, even better than Death Note) The Breaker Tower of God Holyland imo better than Shamo ID Monster (If you didnt see Anime read it, less time consuming, anime is so long and may become boring because of it) Bokurano (depressive, but extremely powerful) Uzumaki (climatic horror) Holyland, The Breaker, Veritas, Shamo are all comparable, fighting mangas/manhwas, the breaker seems to be the best but all keep high quality and i liked shamo the least of them all. Highlighted titles i consider to be top of the cream, consider it close to Vagabond quality.

Do you like horror manga? If you do I strongly recommend March Story and Higurashi When They Cry.
March Story is one of the most beautifully drawn mangas I've ever read. The artwork really enhances the story.
Higurashi has a really good story, but you must give the story some chance before you can enjoy it. I've read the 8 story arcs that is currently available in English, and I can say that I really enjoy the series as a whole alot more then I enjoy individual story arcs (Save for Eye Opening Arc, which has a really, really good story IMO)

My number one suggestion would be: FullMetal Alchemist - It's pretty damn awesome, although drawn in a rather rounded style the content is very mature. D.gray-man - I haven't actually read it but I've had friends recommend it to me. And it fit's the genre of manga you've read.
If Sci fi is okay then: Ghost in the Shell - The original manga deviates from the anime adaptations quite a bit, easily enough for it to be worth reading. Battle Angel Alita - Ages since I read, I can only remember I liked it. Trigun - Only seen the anime but from what I've heard the manga is even better.
If more general "shounen" like stuff is okay then. GTO - Not an action manga, more like drama I guess, quite gritty, but the characters and story are good. Initial D - Sports manga about drifting.
Bonus suggestion Yotsubat&! - Totally not the kind of manga you've listed but it's really good, an essential read for anyone on this planet.

ehhh, ok I read "the big 3" but I only care about One Piece among the 3 the other 2 are like, "well I started them, might as well see it through"
aside from that
D.Gray-man: really really good, but is a monthly now. Beelzebub: nice and funny battle manga GTO is also something you should look at
Tower of God and The Breaker are easily one of the best I've ever read.
but seeing as you haven't mentioned, you should read my favorite manga ever, Fullmetal Alchemist.
also if you want to look at sports manga, Slam Dunk for sure.
Liar Game is also pretty amazing but you are better off waiting for a few chapters to come out and read it instead of immediately reading whatever the latest chapter is.

mirai nikki is pretty interesting
tower of god
and like someone else said darker than black is pretty cool
FMA is a must

Not sure if troll or actually serious...
Why the fuck would someone watch Minamoto-kun/Onani after Claymore (although they're probably improvements on the horrific drag that was Claymore...)
Try Medaka Box or Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei. They're both very unique and great series that detach themselves from the usual shitty shounen/slapstick humor.

Sorry, I haven't read Claymore, but what's with the hate? They don't even seem to be the anything alike. Besides that they're good quality mangas, especially Onani master. But if OP doesn't enjoy those genres, then I'd suggest Samurai Deeper Kyo or Fullmetal Alchemist.

The "hate" is probably just from the fact that Minamoto-kun Monogatari and Onani Master Kurosawa (which was excellent I'll admit) are too big of a jump for someone who looks as though he's just been going through the big three/shounen fodder. Unless of course, you're trying to jolt him into a completely different genre (which, although it worked on me, might not be too effective on others). In such a case, Velvet Kiss would be pretty effective no doubt. As would be Kodomo no Jikan, Aki Sora, and Kiss X Siss. Shove 'em right into the world of H, loli, and incest. Err, wincest.
GTO, FMA, and Mirai Nikki are excellent suggestions though (I've reread GTO about 4 times...).
Sayonara Zetsubo Sensei is good, but strange (would you suggest reading or watching it ymir223?)/
I notice there aren't many sports series on here. Eyeshield 21 perhaps? And while still on the shounen train, I'll suggest Hunter x Hunter. The chimera ant arc was weird and the current arc is just lolwtf, but I really enjoyed it up until that point. I suspect people have forgotten about it because the mangaka seems to spend 90% of his time on hiatus.
If you're open to watching anime, try Tengen Toppa Gurren Laggan, if you haven't seen it already (someone had to say it).

For me what makes a great manga are the drawings. It must be mature tough. Anythign that looks chilidish will be a no go for me. Bleach & Naruto are an exception tough eventough i really don't care and don't follow it anymore.
To the hugh One Piece fan that posted above there, i didn't like it because it was way too childish for me.
Thanks everyone for your time & recommendations!
