So these past few days are the last of my summer break before I go back to school. My school starts again this Friday so I am trying to do as much as I can before I have to go back. So without further ado lets begin!

First thing I did I think on Wednesday of last week was go to this historical Korean village with my Host Sister(who is visiting from USA because of summer break for uni) and her 2 friends from her Highschool days here. Her friends were really shy and for some reason would only talk to me in English. This is actually really common I am noticing as even though I understand and can talk in Korean in pretty much most situations still some insist upon only speaking in English which gets kind of annoying. Anyway besides that one was super pretty but still both her friends were super shy. The village though was really nice and just relaxing I guess. After that they had like a mini theme park beside it, so we went to that. There they had this special horror house that was based on historic Korean stuff. So we went inside and goddamn Korean girls shriek so damn loud but it was actually really scary probably the scariest one I have ever been too. Other then that we went on a couple rides together then went for dinner at like a Steakhouse and then off to home.

Next thing would be I had to say goodbye to a bunch of people who I might never see again these past weeks. First my host families former exchange student two years ago from Germany came to visit so we lived together for a couple of weeks and I have to say she was really nice and i'm actually sad she left. Me and her got along super well from the instant we met each other. Next would be my Host sister who is studying at college in the US she came and visited for 1 month and again she might not comeback before I go back to Canada so I may not see her again as she too was one of the least bitchy and realest Korean girl I have probably met. And finally a bunch of exchange students I liked are leaving back to their home countries for various reasons. One girl from Germany who I just saw this past night as we went to the Olympic celebration concert together. Another from Norway who was one of the few other exchange students I actually talked to and liked. And then a girl from New Zealand who had to go back for some family matter and I don;t think will be coming back. She was cool and was kind of a gamer so she knew SC and LoL and such. I think this brings the count up to 5 or 6 exchange students who have left since the 23 of us came to Korea. 2 from USA, 1 Norway, 1 New Zealand and 1 or 2 from Japan(not to sure) have all left. One got kicked out, others left on own accord and one had trouble that had to involve police so she left.

Next and perhaps one of my best memories so far from Korea is going to the Pentaport Rock Festival in Incheon last Saturday. It was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! I don't even like rock music but still it was really really really fun. I went with one of my best friends here who is really into rock music. We had to leave pretty early in the morning to get to Incheon for when the festival starts. It takes around 2 and half hours to get there. So actually had to get up early for once. So we go to the festival at around 11:30ish which is just before it started so I bought a t-shirt and we put our stuff away and then got some drinks. Oh and for this event I got a 19 plus bracelet even though I am only 18 so for the first time in my life I could actually buy drinks like pretty much legally, which was awesome. Then we went to the first stage and watch some band from Taiwan called "My skin against your skin" they were okay but I wasn't really into it yet as it was only like mid day so yeah was whatever. Next was a ska band from Thailand called T-bone Ska, they were decent and actually I used to really love ska music before I turned to Kpop and Electronic stuff. Next was this Japanese group made of 4 girls called Gacharic Spin. Now they were actually really good and I ended up in the front row for their act and really it was the first one that I really got into and such. Later on I saw them walking around and one of them came up to me and said(In really cute English)"Thank you for watching us, it looked like you have fun". I thought it was super cool that they remembered me and said that to me. Next we went to the main stage to see some Korean ska group, next was The Qemist from England who I really really liked as it was more electronic then the other performers. After that we saw The Coxx who are a really popular group from Korea and then Fact who my friend said were really popular in Japan. Then the last two shows were ASH and Snow Patrol from North Ireland. Now my friend is a huge Snow Patrol fan so he wanted to be very front row. So we waited at the front since the Fact performed which was I think like 3 or 4 hours before Snow Patrol. Eventually between ASH and the last act we ended up having to wait like 2 hours sitting in super cramp place at the very front but luckily to pass the time met some really cool Highschool students waiting beside us and we talked and shared food/drinks, one of them ended catching the drumsticks the drummer threw into the crowd. But I have to say that Snow Patrol was truly amazing and being in the front made it even crazier. Ended up coming home at like 2:30 ish and my host parents were kind of mad but whatever was truly one of my best times in Korea. Met a lot of cool people there and had great time.

This guy is pretty much exactly behind where I was for the last three performances of that day. Could probably see me if I tried hard enough.

Finally just a couple hours ago I came back from the Olympic celebration concert in Yeoido. There I saw Infinite,Kara,Ullala Session,EXO, GNA, SISTAR and 4minute. I went with my friend from Germany who is a huge EXO fan. At first for Infinite we were in a really shitty spot as we hadn't waited in line all day like other people had to get seats. But we were better then most as we could stand on the fence and see everyone but still at the super back of the place. But then we saw these two Korean guys climb on top of one of the equipment trucks that was on the side and like more than halfway to the front. So we climbed up there, it was a little hard for my friend but she made it up. The Korean guys were really surprised to see us and gave us high fives and stuff. Eventually we were joined by 3 more Koreans and one guy from England who came up there as well. The view was actually really really good from up there and better than pretty much all of the crowd besides the people who were in the very front part of the audience. From there we saw all the other groups I listed above. But during this entire time security kept saying to come down but all the guys were just like ignore them and eventually they actually left us alone. Later they came back with a Police officer. This was after 4minute but then Sistar came on and one of the guy up there who was arguing with them, goes to the police officer " Oh Fuck, its Sistar now. Not coming down." the the police officer got mad left and I enjoyed Sistar in peace. Near the end of Sistar he came back with like 5 other officers so that was pretty much the signal to actually come down but as all the girl groups had gone already I was pretty happy to leave. The police yelled at the kid who swore at him but that was it. Overall was super super worth it to go even though it poured rain but still was amazing. Originally I was supposed to go see Apink perform at the dmz concert in Paju but my host mom wouldn't let me so instead I ended up going here. Was good but still I am pursuing my opportunity to see Apink and Girl's Day. I have to see both of them before I leave and am still mad at myself I missed them while they were both promoting because of school and stuff.

The amazing Kara perf from the concert. Mr dance so good in person.

So that is it for the last few days my plans for my last 2 days of break are to go to a Korean national team soccer game tomorrow then on Thursday I will probably spend all day at PC Bang or something like that.

Anyway as usual thanks for reading and please feel free to ask me pretty much anything.

Was just reading about the Kara performance in the KMD and saw this on the side. So kool how Korea basically has national cheerleaders for the athletes.
