How personal are you? With a lot of my friends, everything is personal. We're on the job, working or studying (I'm an economics major), and everything that happens is either about me or the other person. If I critique their work, they believe that I dislike them, like their products are a reflection of themselves, and just because they make errors it reflects negatively on their person.

I don't subscribe to that notion. People make mistakes, it's human to make mistakes. It's natural and healthy and so long as you recognize them and correct them in a timely fashion then you'll be able to correct your course and mistakes won't turn into errors into real problems, and then devolve from there. There's a pretty big literature in the way of 'pithy' statements that align with this philosophy.

Watching GSTL tonight Wolf said something that caught my attention:

"There are _______... That's scary to think about."

The mistakes my colleagues make are overlooking parts of the design process. They're very attached to a particular way of thinking and their intuition just doesn't catch the import of their actions. It's not a question of fear. It's just a question of hampered intuition.

On the other hand there are questions like penis size insecurity and other stuff that we just can't bring ourselves to think about. It's evolutionarily hardwired, and reinforced in our culture. Particularly Western culture. We're constantly spammed with advertisements, e-mail advertisements, and so on, about penis enlargement pills or products, and if you ever check a porn site that's all you'll see. Of course none of these products work, but that doesn't matter.

A person is a lot more willing to buy a pill than a surgical procedure. Once you've committed to buying the pill or pump or whatever your fancy, then the psychological barriers will crumble and you'll be on to the next step. I wanted this result anyway, so here's the opportunity to achieve my goal. Let's do it.

It's big business. Just how big is an interesting question. Probably a lot of this business is sort of under the table. A couple false studies at the top of Google search, and 8"+ standards in porn go a long way toward skewing society's perception toward the idea that if you're not at least half a foot, then you're not adequate. When a girl's built to handle three and maybe 4, this is a serious problem. Not just for other men, but for women also. Think about it.

So there are oversights and then there is intimidation. What really intimidates us? If we can't bring ourselves to imagine our fears, then we aren't in control of our life. A further question is, do you play on the fears of others? It's not uncommon to see subtle intonations or ambiguous statements that are clearly pointed to aggravate existing fears in others. We can say that we're helping them challenge their fears; is it true? Aggravating a fear can sway other people into our control -- it's a common tactic to aggravate a fear, and then after some time to assuage it. Thus the other person feels an undue gratitude toward us, because we created a larger than life problem in their mind and then gradually reduced the fear.

We should try to attack the roots of our fear directly when this is possible. It's quite easy to manipulate someone who is constantly in the grasp of their own fears. Merely make light touches, or even reinforce the fear with some confirming evidence, and in a short time, the other person's fear will transform into full blown terror. If you want to help someone conquer their fear, then address their fear directly or leave it alone. If you feel that bringing a matter to light will severe a friendship then you have to make a choice consistent with the benefits you will bring to the other person addressing their fear. Perhaps you are also afraid of losing a friend, or you care a great deal about other people's positive opinion to you. This complicates the question.

Is your friend truly your friend if your friend does not perceive himself? Is it possible to befriend someone who is deluded to their own identity? Such a friendship is sure to be inconsistent. Perhaps if we were more accepting of people in general, that is, if we viewed everyone to be our firend, then the possessiveness question of friendship would not be such an issue. We would not identify a person 'my friend', or we would identify everyone 'my friend'. It makes a difference, maybe, how you think about it, and yet this may just be another game we play in our mind.

So, are our oversights a product of our lacking education, or lacking experience, or, alternatively, are our oversights a product of fear. If we cannot bring ourselves to imagine a certain possibility, then we will always be in the grip of our own 'insecure delusions'. Also, we will be exploitable. You will see that mind is like a waterfall. If we leave rocks at the top where the water should pour from, then if the rocks are not moved they will change the flow of the raining water. Soon enough the river formed will also change course. The mind will change direction, flowing in a new way. In nature this may be okay. In the mind, if the new path is a product of some scar we cannot face, then the mind will be twisted and possibly even multiple personalities will emerge.

Like many problems of the mind, what are the roots of our fear? Probably functions of the ego.

How strong do you identify yourself: "I am a good person"?

Well that's a nice belief perhaps. However, good person is, like good person does. There is no such thing as a good person. If you do good things then you are good, and if you do bad things then that's not so good. This seems obvious, and yet there are so many self-proclaimed good people, or people who identify themselves: "I am a good person", and among these people almost all of them do quite a lot of 'bad'.

Sometimes it just an error or misunderstanding, and yet the human moral compass is usually pretty good. How does the mind twist such that a person whose aim is to be good finds themselves doing ethically reprehensible deeds? It is probably a question of ego.

If you are too identified with yourself being a good person or an example of morals to your fellows, then soon enough you will make some mistake. Will you be able to conquer your own pride and identify your mistake? Probably not if you are too concerned perceiving yourself to be a good person or especially if you are very concerned with appearing good to other people.

In your mind you will think, well they see me to be good, therefore I have not done a deed that is reprehensible to them. Perhaps this seems odd, and yet perhaps it is precisely because it is odd that the brain overlooks such a pattern. Of course you have your idea 'well this is good and this is bad'. So if there is a deed it will be either good, bad, or perhaps of some dubious quality. Well, what of 'good people' performing deeds of bad quality?

This happens to all people who strive to be good, and yet it seems to be pride and the ego nature that conceal the nature of deeds in some delusion. Delusions grow rapidly, especially if they grow in tandem with deeds to reinforce them. A 'good person' who does bad things will soon forge a new personality or new identity. This is not necessarily an evil identity. Often this is an identity 'sacrificing' or 'fighting' indulging in morally questionable behavior to achieve some greater purpose. Then the split grows, and one person is two identities. The conscious identity and sober identity will find memories very different from those of the alter-ego; perhaps the two identities will perceive each other to be even different bodies (although they are not).

Perhaps this is the theory with '1' (and how far from this our culture has fallen)

'1'-language is supposed to be wise cuts removing the ego. However, the goal is not just to remove the ego by any possible means. The gold is to remove delusion and from the dissipation of delusion the ego dies will also die

corruptors flying around everywhere in GSTL. is a corruptor the same as an infested is the same as a medivac is the same as a hellion is the same as a viking is the same as a baneling is just 1 unit?

we should just fight with 1s and 2s or alternatively binary: 1s and 0s. that would be great.

You're clearly high again. Three or four? Go look up statistics on the average newborn. Or is this some Family Guy Peter Griffin shit, where you think they come out a different direction?

We just had a baby a couple of years ago, and it wasn't more than three or four times as big as my penis, but that might not be typical. She was only 10 lbs.

The unit he's discussing at the time is (clearly may not be the right word) inches, he never suggests he's discussing 3-4 cocks at once, he's talking about men thinking they should have a dick that's 6-8 inches.

It almost sounds like he's trying to justify marginal size, but that could just be what he wants us to think so we suggest that, giving him room to say we're lying about ourselves?

So wait, the premise is that a vagina is only built to handle 3-4 inches? Come on. You could use cocks that size like Lincoln logs to build a little hut inside of a vagina without stretching it unduly.

Well, either that or he's suggesting that we've been socially engineered to believe we need to have 3-4 cocks each. Which is plausible, given who the OP is, but still.

Hmm, I wonder if having extra penises grow is a side effect of drinking fluoride?

Actually, superfluous peni could be pretty useful. Like, if I had a bad wifi connection I could just wrap one in aluminum foil from my hat, and presto, instant antenna.

YMMV, not sure how much gain you get from a 3" antenna.

When a girl's built to handle three and maybe 4, this is a serious problem. Not just for other men, but for women also. Think about it.

But four extra antennae? That could be useful, you could even make a two way radio and transmit morse code by helicoptering your multitude of peni. Why has no one tried this yet?

Penorse code. I love it!

Long, short, long, long, short...

Could always just hang semaphore flags off them instead.

Pft, not in the context of dick size. For the blessed. The over-blessed. The cursed...
