Also, the BW pros think entirely differently. They think totally "out of the box". Flash is not going to start playing this game and thinking in the same way MVP, MMA or NesTea does. I'm willing to bet that with the arrival of BW pros an entire metagame shift will also arrive. Hell, just look at what forGG did with the reaper-banshee harass build when he got into SC2.

I believe this because BW pros but so much into BW compared to those that practice at a pro SC2 level. Let's look at Idra, for example. When he played for CJ Entus he played 12 hours per day, with a 1 hour break. Every day of the week, and he was an ok player (by Korean standards). Even current pros don't seem to put in that much time, and if they do, I would be impressed if they did it in a more efficient way than Flash (for example) does. This is something I suspect as well. The majority of top SC2 players are all EX-BW pro's, so definitely the current BW guys will dominate. In the replays/FPvods Flash was playing pretty standard. I do hope that they will bring some new stuff into the game though.. Oh, and Fantasy is gonna own everybody in SC2.. I am so tired of the Flash hype, It's getting really annoying. Like everybody is analyzing those replays of him etc. And a lot of the hype is coming from people who haven't ever watched BW.

I know I watched those too and was kind of disappointed, but what can you expect. He himself even said he doesn't think he'll be at a competitive level for about 3 months. What I meant, is that once they (as in BW Pros) are at that point (that point being completely comfortable with SC2), we will start to see a lot of new stuff.

Right now, I expect a lot of BW pros to just be imitating the standard strategies that are being used by current SC2 pros. They're still learning the game and getting acclimated to the different mechanics, so I would expect them to stick with more standard strategies to feel comfortable on ladder. When they play in Proleague, I would expect to see relatively standard games with some BW habits carrying over due to it being a combined league, so the games might be a bit sloppy compared to GSL-level games. But when the BW pros are able to go full-time with SC2 and fully acclimate themselves to the game, I do expect their understanding of the game to be extremely deep. I hope that by then, we'll start seeing them playing around with some sick builds and crisp timings and innovative compositions that are only attainable with a deep understanding of the game and flawless mechanics. But then again, HotS should be a reset-button on the metagame, and it'll be interesting to see SC2 slightly revert back to the wild days of old when everyone is trying out the Beta. Will the BW pros be better imitators or innovators? That should be an interesting sight indeed.

People on TL talk about them as though they are all demi-gods or God himself but in fact they just play a game that was more popular in the past. Just my two cents. But they are already doing well in SC2.. there are very few individuals who are doing fairly well in SC2 that don't have a BW background

This is what I don't understand - how many of the worlds best starcraft 2 players is _not_ an (ex) BW player? / ^ ninjad

LOL you do realize that the current top flight SC2 players were pretty much trash compared to the top flight BW players right? And you DO realize that we are talking about God right? I mean, what else do you call Flash?

Ultimate Weapon, Cheddar Terran, Terminator, etc. I mean, I guess you can't really make assumptions about how good they will be, and maybe they are being over-hyped as already best SC2 players in the world. But the people who disagree, you have to watch their FPVODs or some of the games they play. Especially Bisu, he'll put anyone in SC2's apm to shame with this shuttle harasses.

I don't think there are enough ways for players to differentiate themselves in SC2 that allows for consistent domination over a long period of time. Flash was Flash because of what he did and could do in BW. I don't expect him to be the same in SC2. You can put makeup on a pig but....
