Instantly downloading, if any of these other songs are similar to nujabes stuff I am really interested since I don't really know any other music similar to his.

Thanks, this is great stuff. Apart from Nujabes these are all different artists from the last mix ? None seem familiar, apart from Michita and Aphex twin aaand BSBD. I still have the first one on my desktop and I was wondering if you had more, just couldn't find the username.
to Finality: Uyama Hiroto's Son of the Sun is a great album. He's a producer who did a lot of collaboration with Nujabes. And is a wind instrumentalist as well.

I'll check it out then, I really don't look for a lot of music so anything similar would be nice, thank you very much!

is it me or does the label jazzy hip hop encompass every single alternative hip-hop instrumental?
i'm not talking about the music but the label itself. it seems like jazz hip hop means orchestral sounding or eclectic sounding hip-hop to most people on the internet.
when i think of jazzy hip-hop i think of well... hip-hop that specifically samples or derives from jazz.
maybe it's because when i think of jazz, i think of soul and historically black music. anyways i'll leave you guys and enjoy the music

You should put Emancipator up there. Him and Nujabes had/have a similar style.
Though, none of the music you posted up has anything to with Jazz. You want Jazz Hip Hop, listen to Mos Def, with "Daddy" Dave on the drums. Then you will understand the difference. Just put in "Chris Dave" in youtube, he's got new medleys!!!!

Uh, I can hear a ton of jazz influence or straight up sampling....yeah some of it is more just chill but I dont understand ho you can t hear jazz

My thoughts exactly!

those are some excellent choices there -- really like the inclusion of amon tobin's the nasty, and madlib's instrumental tracks
i notice you've got some apollo brown in your previous mix, but have you heard some of his previous work apart from clouds? while clouds is incredible, i think his album skilled trade tops it in terms of quality
+ Show Spoiler +
also if you enjoy aether, he's got a side-project called am architect which also delivers quality beats
+ Show Spoiler +
some further recommendations:
very endtroducing-esque beat from arts the beatdoctor + Show Spoiler +
bbng goes the full improv route with the jazz influence + Show Spoiler +
richly-textured layering from long arm (his album the branches is absolutely incredible start to finish) + Show Spoiler +
skalpel is essential to any jazzy hip-hop list + Show Spoiler +
thallus is probably one of the greatest undiscovered talents out there + Show Spoiler +
petestrumentals is also absolutely essential for anyone who listens to this kind of music + Show Spoiler +

Nice one thanks for listening! Yea, I tried to make sure that I had different artists from part 1, just so I could cover a few more of the great producers out there. At the same time, though, I wanted to have Nujabes tie the whole thing together.

Yea I definitely see where you're coming from, but, to be honest, even though it doesn't always sound like it's traditional Jazz influence, it is more Jazz-inspired Hip Hop than Funk/Soul-Inspired. I do agree that the term is stretched to cover a ton of stuff that doesn't necessarily fit though.

You should listen to Part 1. There's a couple of Emancipator tracks in that one.
I see what you are saying about it not being 100% Jazz Hip Hop, particularly compared with the examples you mentioned, and I do understand the difference. However, it still is, for the most part, Jazz Hip Hop, even though it doesn't sound as traditionally jazzy as your examples. I use the term in the name of the mix, because I wanted to give a general idea of what kind of tunes people are going to find here and I think it's a bit more of an apt description than just 'instrumental hip hop', or 'alternative instrumental hip hop'. I feel it encompasses the atmosphere a bit better than those terms, or similar ones. Thanks for your comment.

Yea, I agree. I think if you've listened to more modern Jazz music, or a wider range of Jazz music anyway (and Jazz is the biggest genre out there), you'd hear that it mostly does fall under the Jazz umbrella.

Wow thanks a lot for all those recommendations. I haven't had a chance to check them out yet, and there's a couple that I haven't heard before too!
Thanks for listening.
