Okay that's actually a very big exaggeration. For one, there's no music career at all, its something I do for fun, mostly in my bedroom, while studying something entirely separate. Also, its not picking that far up, but some cool shit's happening !
Tonight I'm performing a few songs at my school's pub as part of some sort of Variety Night. Nothing super big, 100-200 people audience and I can win $100 if I boss it up enough. But it's still pretty cool ! I haven't played in front of a legitimate audience in a few years now and this is actually my first time doing so singing rather than some instrumental. I feel like I'm pretty good right now so it should go well. If by some chance you happen to live in/around Mississauga, Ontario, PM me and come out to UTM !
Secondly, the music channel Much Music is running this covers contest where I could win a chance to go to the MMVAs if I place top 3. I'm not getting my hopes super far up because its a country-wide thing with a lot of entries. But they're mostly baddies so I'm not gonna count myself entirely just yet ! Unfortunately the thing isn't very accommodating in terms of telling you how well you're doing, it just says your rating out of 5 (I'm at like 4.4 now) but not how many votes its based on. But I think I have a reasonably high youtube view count compared to a lot of the other people, especially considering I'm not a frequent youtuber who had any sort of subscriber base to start with. I had a whopping two subscribers before this from a video I did last month, but that number has increased 300% to six !
Anyways I can't post a link to the song since its a voting thing and that would go against TL policies but I would certainly appreciate it if I could get some "Good luck!" 's from my favourite community.  Definitely when the voting's finished in April, I'd like to share some stuff with you guys, so see you then I suppose !
Holy christ that was the bloggiest blog I've ever written in my life. I've never felt more like a 14 year old girl before. Meh. Bye.
Edit: It's been suggested to me that I might not get banned all to hell if I post the video here so I'm gonna go out a limb and do it. If its not okay, it's gone in a heartbeat I swear !

The thing is that any sample I post would be on my youtube and then people could super easily find the voting thing from especially, especially since I have only 3 videos. I just dont really want to take any chances. But I think I'll try to get a mod in here to see exactly what the policy is. T_T

+ Show Spoiler [Opinions and criticism, MIGHT HURT D=] +
- Overall, I enjoyed it.
- You give a bit too much on the first verse which makes the second verse a little less special
- Some of the transitions to/from falsetto aren't very smooth, and often I feel like you lose some the flow
- As a first time listener who's not familiar with the original song, I can't quite pick up the lyrics at certain passages which made it harder to fully understand and appreciate the emotions behind the song. Could be my fault, but you could help the slow-ears like me by pronouncing the words more clearly.
- I like how you drove it home in the last repeat chorus with MORE PASSIONATE GUITAR harhar but you could also have done more with the melody line? =)

Thanks a lot ! I agree fully, especially on the falsetto which I'm super aware needs a ton of work. I plan on covering another song for this contest and using a lot of falsetto which should hopefully give me the opportunity to iron it out. And ye I've had problems with pronouncing words properly a lot. T_T

that style of music isnt exactly my cup of tea and I dont know the orig song to make much of a comparison. That being said you did a good job of making it pleasent sounding and enjoyable.

Nice, the vid kinda reminds me of Jeff Buckley, just the overall feel of it. Make sure you suck your audience in as much as he did and good luck!

Bibbit, you have over two thousand posts. You can post any link you wish and tell everyone they should vote for you or else they're hurting eSports. And people will do as you wish.
Also, posting awesome music is a plus, even if you're asking people to vote for you. American pop usually sucks though, as you seem to already know. But you have a pretty nice voice and some decent skills so good luck.
One more thing, u gotta sk8.
