I am reluctant to do this. To be honest I don't even know if I can keep this promise. But I will try.
Anyway so here's the whole story:
Once upon a time, I was a happy NA diamond tossgirl, allining where I saw weakness and deathballing where I saw none. Then lo and behold there was a patch. After patching I could no longer acess SEA server. So instead of doing 80% of my games on sea I was doing 100% of my games on NA. I also moved house (no sc2 for 1.5wks) and switched from using my laptop to my desktop (so slightly diff keyboard layout and diff mouse settings).
I started losing games. It was little things that did it. Mostly just misclicks due to diff mouse sensitivity and miskeys due to a slightly diff keyboard layout and different position. But the effects were setting in. I was on a losing streak. I was on tilt. I could have stopped. But I didn't, my way of dealing with tilt is just to punch out more games until I win. It can be long and hard but when the wins do roll in, the euphoria is ecstatic. And usually I feel I become a stronger player after working through it.
But not this time.
I just kept losing.
Couldn't keep it together. Couldn't focus. Made more misclicks.
Got more upset.
Started leaving at miniscule things. like losing a single stalker in a pvp (admittedly this feels like a very big thing for me), probes not doubling up on the closest mineral patch, an opponent bming me.
The losses came down on me like an avalanche. But I just couldn't stop myself. The losses were well and truly in the double digits and were aproachign triple digits.
I had found myself in my own personal tilt hell.
Then it happened.
The demotion.
I stopped playing.
Anyway, so maybe I am still qualified to give strategic advice. Maybe I just need strategically placed chocolate beside my keyboard while I ladder. But right now I certainly do not feel so confident in my expertise as a tosser. As I am no longer a run-of-the-mill NA Diamond, I hereby abdicate from my self-appointed strategic-advice-giving duties. From this date onward and until I get back into diamond, I will no longer give advice on the strategy forum.
Tbh I probably wasn't qualified to give advice there anyway; apparently only pro-gamers and top 8 korean grandmasters post there.

Giving advice to people makes you think a bit, can't be bad right? Just don't submit your posts if that's really a problem. More GG more skill anyway

you dont have to be GM to give advice. if you watch a lot of games, analyze and etc, you are still able to give strategy tips. sure you might not be able to physically execute these strats like the pros, but you sure as hell know what needs to be done.
with that said, if you are of low rank, you are missing out on things that you can only pick up with actually playing at high levels.
Keep fighting!

nothing makes me sadder than losing those stalkers in PvP lol I'll throw you a bone if you'd like. Haven't done anything recently for TL so lemme know.

I live in aus. Lets have dinner and i will cheer you up and teach you to be bonjwa.

As long as you know enough in theory, you should keep giving advice, whether or not you've got the ability to execute what you're head allows you to is irrelevant when it comes to helping people.

makes me feel worse. =[
there's a part where you start getting better that you just lose like 27 in a row, right? right? T_T

It's not the laptop or anything like that, it's the mindset. I would get many losses too when I would occasionally be very upset. It's simply because you lose focus and start throwing games away.
What you do is you stop giving a fuck. Opponent goes all-in and you're not prepared? Type "noooooo wait". He kills your army? Respond "wat". You make a stupid mistake? Just sigh and laugh out loud.
Wether I played Starcraft or basket-ball, the attitude was everything. Aggressive, focused, don't think too much, just play, and let some pressure go when you feel like it. And if it's a bad day, then it's a bad day. Keeping on shooting even though you're 1/20 with 5 airballs, or playing more games even though you just lost to a simple poke will just hurt you.
And if you can't stop, well, that's another problem. It means you're addicted.

Seems like a reasonable vow, as long as it serves it's purpose of getting you out of your rut. My personal advice for dealing with tilting or a run of losses is to stop and watch your replays carefully. It can be unpleasant, but I find I often end up realising the reasons I actually lost my games were very different from the ones I thought at the time. Really helps break you out of making the same mistakes over and over. Another thing you could do is play some practice games.
I do sympathise though, as I'm in fairly similar situation. I'm a Aussie player around the same low diamond level, and I only just got internet setup at my new place a couple weeks ago after moving at the start of the year, so I'm horribly rusty. It's painful how quickly you lose sharpness.

Was truly expecting someone that had actually taken a true vow of silence and instead stumbled on another QQ ladder thread... Where are the monks of TL ? TL would be a good place for somebody who has actually taken true vow of silence ^^

On TL they're called Lurkers

I honestly didn't know being diamond on NA meant your "strategic advice" had any value.
But I operate under the assumption that like 90% of TL'ers are diamond (on whatever server they are on) or above. Probably a false assumption.
