The dude knows what he is talking about. FXOBoss agrees, and so does Alex from EG. These dudes seem like the same figures you see in higher ups in other companies because they (as in the superiors you see the IT companies you work at, or the fast food, or any type of business that is not Esports) care about their respective industries. When you work as a manager in fast food, you care about fast food because you have to motivate the people below you. In order to that, you have to become creative in your ideas, and do what others are not trying.
The way I think about this whole situation, and this metaphor works the best for me, think of one maybe you can associate to your self. The way I see it is that money is your form of voting. Every business you give your money to, you're essentially saying (if it's for the first time) "You make an interesting point, I'll try it" or (if you've bought from them before) "I tried what you did, and you followed through. I'll try i again."
Now, it's up to you to decide if MLG has not done this, and I'm not saying that exactly how I have phrased it is exactly how it is. What I'm saying is that if you known that you have these memories of weekends when you were staring at the screen as Leenock defeated Naniwa, who seemed to be unbeatable after Nestea, or if you remember when Naniwa himself went undefeated through the loser's bracketer until the finals against Kiwikaki and still won, or if you remember Huk mothership rushing when this all started, you have to admit... MLG has followed through with their promise to improve.
When Sundance says "We think this is worth $20", it might be worth that. But don't think that this is the end. If this fails, he'll come back and prove that if it's not $20, then what is it. And if that's the case, how many are willing to put their money where their mouth is? You decide.
TL;DR - If at $20 a person, enough people say yes, then it is $20. If it's not, that's fine. Everyone needs to stop being so explosive with things like "Omg, MLG is trying to rob us." I'm of course exaggerating, but so are you. If you don't support it, just say that, but don't think that Sundance is just going to laugh at us and say "I'm not going to try to help."
Oh wow. I sound like a total Nazi.... hahahaha. What I meant was that Hitler used Jews as the reason for the failed economy in Germany. I'm not saying what he did was right. I'm just saying the there was a down economy, while Voldemort used a memory of a single person to give him his motivation.
I got high and drunk before I wrote that. Not saying that I'm more hateful when under the impression either, but instead I was suggesting that the level of hate people are giving Sundance make it sound like he's a supremely evil being.. Seeing how Hitler is the most evil I could think of in reality, I was suggesting that the hate people were giving Sundance was past reality, and in a fantasy realm.
TL;DR - My metaphor was suppose to show the level of hate, not to say that EG is Hitler. Or anyone else was Hitler.

Alex said he supported the notion of PPV, even though it is a negative picture for teams due to less sponsor exposure. He however suggested that the amount MLG was asking for was unreasonable and suggested alternative.

I think the main thing is that 20 dollars is a little much, coming straight after free tournaments last year. I think 5 or 10 dollars would be a better middle ground that many more people would be ok with paying.

Yeah, that's what I'm saying. Don't turn into an angry mob, because from the sounds of it, people think that evil geniuses is the Hitler to Esports. Like he's going to exterminate all of us all at once, and just laugh manically. Hell, that's beyond Hitler. That's like Voldemort level. Hitler at least a legit reason, Voldemort just hated his mother because she was a muggle.
Not point at you specifically KingFool, because from your statement, you're simply repeating what others have said. I'm just saying people should calm the fuck down. We don't need to explode.

Problem is, a lot of people are saying that $20 is too much, including Alex of EG. I think MLG should have the right to make money through PPV if they want to, but I do not like the way that Gold Members are getting the short end of the stick.

I think if he turned right now and said "okay, its for gold members only no free stream" he would immediately get tons of gold passes. But i'm no esports manager.

Don't call EG the Hitler of Esports. If you cannot tell that they are only adopting the "bad-boy" persona and not actually psychopaths bent on killing millions of people, then you can expect a very negative response from people.

I'm buying, I also support Sundance.
