My best friend died today. His life flashed before my eyes. I don't ever want to forget any of it, even though it just makes me cry. He loved me unconditionally, he always wanted to be around me, even if I didn't want to be around him. I know I didn't feel that way often, but it hurts just to think I didn't appreciate every second he loved me. Biscuit was a really good dog. To me he was a person, and I'll remember all the nuance to his personality.

Dogs know how to love people unconditionally.

They never get upset with you.

They always forgive you.

And they're always happy to see you.

I love my dogs and I remember when my first one (the one I grew up with) passed away.

I know how you feel... I'm tearing up just thinking about it.

I'm not so good with sharing and caring(especially not publically like this), but I love my dog as well, and I know how you feel. My grandma had a dog I always played with, when I was visiting. Died when I was around 8. I've had my Lille Fix for 10 years soon. Still remember when I brought her home in a little box, when she was a whelp. I'm even moved home for a period partly because I didn't feel my family wasn't taking well enough care of my dog(she was sick just a little while after I moved out, but she's all well now). Still know she's gonna go some day, but as long as you give them a good life until then, right?
If you treated your dog well it couldn't be better, and the unconditional love has been repaid. At least that's the silverlining I'm trying to see in something that I know will be so tragic to me, when it happens.

Hope you get over it soon man, thanks for sharing.

Damn bro, I still remember the day my dog died. I just couldn't function properly for awhile. I feel you, stay strong, he is in a good place I am sure. Just keep reminding yourself he wants you to be happy!
