As some of you are aware it has been quite some time that people could actually see no more than about 30% of my face as I am covered in fur.
Those are probably also aware that I told you guys I will shave when I see myself in a good form again. So I designed a point system to keep track.
The current score is at 2/10. When I reach 10 I will shave.
I won the HEAT Charity event in Berlin and a daily cup yesterday.
I will assign myself 1 point for each smaller tournament or more points if I do well in a major competition. Winning something like assembly is obviously 10 points. 2nd place maybe something like 4.
If I do really well in a clanwar I think I will assign myself a point too.
Its not the hardest kind of system, hope people don't think I am too soft now!

How about a) not following your schedule when there is no reason not to (let`s call it the weak will condition) b) if you do not win something for 3 weeks minus 1 point.

A reasonably well trimmed beard actually looks good on you.
But you badly need a haircut! Your hair, if you let it grow for too long, tends to be puffy and looks like a helmet on you. You look so much better with shorter hair.
Hey TLO, I think you should create a schedule (google docs or something like this) with all the tournaments (big or little) you plan to play (and, ofc, win :D ).
So we could follow you in your journey. That would be really cool

Whenever I have a similar look, I keep telling my friends: "It's not a beard, just a very bad shave." (And yes, beards do go quite well with a near-Khaldor-style haircut (6 to 9 millimeters I'd say); but I recommend trying that in Summer or Spring, not during Winter. *shiver*)
BTW, if you were to allow point penalties in your rules, it would become a bit dangerous to keep a public score. Because whenever the score drops, people will ask you why. I don't think that's any of our business. If you think that you deserved penalties for some reason, you can always shift the goalposts later, and cut THE BEARD(TM) at 12 or 15 points.
TLO your beard is so manly I am a little jelly. Don't cut it off, great SC2 champions must be man with beards. (or hot chicks preferably without a beard.)

Hey Dario, I find it awesome that you literally write a blog about your beard (and therefore your performance ofc). I have to agree, you look like a yeti at the moment but that's fine, it's manly. However you look best on the 2nd picture I think and as a female member of this community I'm in the position to rate properly. :p So if you reach your 10/10 points and shave I would suggest to leave some parts of the beard which looks decent and suits you well. Without the beard you look sooo young like 16 or something. ^_^

Tlo, dont shave, just trim and get the look on pic 2. You look so damn badass on it. Real baller! And when you start loosing again after shaving, you have to recognize you have a magical beard.
Also if you wanna do minus points maybe one every three months or every two months without winning anything! (Please do minus points the beard makes you look like a jedi. A super-awesome jedi.)
I think it's time to raise the stakes. Until you get to 10 points, you obviously don't shave. However! For every tournament where you cannot fairly grant yourself points, you grow a Gandalf level beard until you earn another point or 2. Basically minimal grooming to dwell in the sham of defeat. So we go Obi-Wan mode in between tournaments until getting 10 points, then you can shave off the facial manhood. No point, hermit mode until points are earned.
don't shave it trim it. I rock the beard as well and my lady loves it... only thing is must keep trimmed and above all don't let the hair grow over your lip, not romantic, and not a pleasant kissing experience. Let's face it, ladies want a man, not a widdel boy. Beard is man, trimmed is appreciated! Need to throw up a poll under pictures 2 and 3 to be voted on for a bit of public opinion. Not that that should affect your choice, I just think it would be interesting to see the results.

Even if you do trim it, please keep the beard, TLO. It looks too fucking good on you. Seeing you with a beard just makes your shaved face look so naked and... weird. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD ALMIGHTY KEEP THE BEARD.

actually... i recently switched to a single open blade from a 4 blade regular... its a myth that a single blade gets closer and it is more time consuming. I went back to my original 4 blade razor.
Hello, I just wanted to mention something about beards if it just so happens to grow for a while longer. I had mine grow for about 10 months and 4-5 months in, split ends became an issue. I read up a bit on beard care and they recommend trimming it a bit every couple months. Although, everyone's hair is different so perhaps you will be fortunate enough to avoid them : ) Anyways, good luck in your future events!
TLO - I have a suggestion for you. You should create a charity event when you shave. People can pay money to vote for the style of shave they want you to do. For example, if someone wanted you to be clean-shaven, they can donate some money for that category. If someone wanted you to have just a mustache, they can put money in that category. etc ... Then whichever category has the most money, that's what you go for! Of course you can pick which categories. It could be fun.
