Need help with a picture for a valentine's gift

Hey so Valentine's day is coming up and I was thinking that one of the gifts that I wanna give to my girlfriend is a custom t-shirt with a cool picture of something she likes, and something I like, and I just happened to stumble upon such an image today. It's a very cool picture of a skull made of cats, but I need it larger and with good resolution so I can send it to the t-shirt shop. And since I don't have the set of skills required to enhance the image and not ruin the resolution, and I don't know anyone who can do it, I remembered that TL is full of nice and awesome people and that someone would surely know how to do such a thing. So if anyone out there is willing to take out of their free time and do this for me, I'll be very grateful for their help in this ambitious endeavor. Here's the picture that I need help with, I don't have a requirement for the resolution, but the bigger and sharper the better, because it will look better on the printed out t-shirt.

/edit2: google reverse image search has only smaller versions, so doesn't help either.

This isn't CSI, you don't just enhance what doesn't exist.

You can try bitmap-to-path conversion (try Inkscape), but I don't think it's going to treat all of that fur very nicely. It will take some work to come out clean (it's your gf, not mine, do your own work).

Most t-shirt printers that do screen printing will take vector format images, but this is more expensive -- usually only if you are going to mass produce shirts from the screens. You also pay per color (each color is a screen "stencil").

If you cannot get it nicely vectorized, then... bring it into Gimp, scale up 2x, duplicate, smooth one (clear out pixelization) & sharpen/reduce the other (preserve the edges, maybe there is good edge-detection for pixelized images), blend for a subtle effect.
