I mean... sure XIII had problems. As Final Fantasy goes it's certainly not the best of the series but I still have 140+ hours into the game so calling it a bad game would be silly. I just wish it was more of Gran Pulse style gameplay instead of the first half. Since this is what XIII-2 is looking to deliver I'm all for it. | ||

XIII was around "good" but not great, overall i don't see why these games were so despised. Some people expected the new games to be exactly the same with the old one and like you said "unrealistic expectation" makes people feel disappointed. | ||

The story is very wonky. In fact in the game review from gameinformer magazine, they said FF13-2 has no ending! That's right it's a cliff-hanger And the story makes no sense. Goddammit Squeenix What did they do, fire all their writers? Regarding the game itself, I think it's becoming a lot more like an action game than an RPG with all the random quicktime sequences. The music is still amazing. I love that Origa is singing for the soundtrack. Other than that, I think I'll pass. Squeenix needs to be punished for the crimes against humanity. They're totally letting down their fanbase by pushing out shitty storylines one after another. Don't believe me?
