That's a little over a pound a week, on average. That's a reasonable pace from what I've heard. Good luck and keep us in the loop.

The social aspect of weight loss is probably the most important factor in determining success for many people.

Keep it up Sheth!

If you go to the gym, don't get surprise if you don't lose weight on one week. If you gain muscle, it weights more than pure fat. So it's still good if you ''transform'' fat into muscle.

keep it up sheth, just think about your posture and keeping ur core tight and upright, core work and cardio will be the beginning of the transformation. Make sure your abs and core are tight during everything you do, especially if ur doing other workouts. It will help, High protein to carb ratio always is a benefit as well. Hope you feel better from the infection as well bud

Hey good work! 5 lb - not too bad! I've been making myself healthier lately too. I've been at it for almost 8 months now, and have lost 55 lbs! Once you get into a healthy mindset and a healthy routine, it's actually really easy. Think of it like this: if you live like a healthy person, eventually you will be a healthy person! That said, Christmas was a very troubling time for me in regards to healthy eating

Of course I'd give you the same advice I'd give anyone: To lose weight, what you eat and how much you eat are way more important than how often or how hard you work out (though working out is still beneficial, of course). Check out the TLHF sub-forum if you haven't already!

So awesome that you are honest about falling off your diet! I think it will help alot of people to see that it's ok to not be able to do 100% all the time but that you still don't have to give up!

Good work going to gym and keeping it up even tho you have been so ill.

Hey Sheth! Firstly, congrats on losing the 5 pounds and secondly sorry to hear that you were sick.

Once you are feeling better i am sure that you can lose even more weight and become even more dedicated to your diet. I think a very big part of losing weight and changing your lifestyle is setting goals. Short, medium and long term goals to help you step through the process and keep on track.

If you aren't accountable to anything then you won't be as diligent as you can! I feel that once you start seeing more and more results, you will be more and more determined! Best of luck
