So yeah, I just bought the DS 1/2/3 bundle on steam only to discover that there was no multipayer included in the first two games. I find that extramely frustrating as It's a fucking peer2peer online mode that requires no maintenance from steam at all. Anyway, DS1 was easy enough to fix, just set luach option as "zonematch=true" and you're good to go, but as DS2 goes, I haven't found any solution after googling about it for a good couple of hours.
So please awesome TLers, help me find a fix?
Ty in advance <3

And yeah, you guys that just rate and don't comment about anything are truly the heroes of the blog section, keep it up.

Did you check the steam forums yet?
|
Yes, I did. That's where I found the solution for DS1. No fix for DS2 yet, atleast from what I've seen.

Then there probably is no proper solution at the moment.
If it's possible to start a LAN game you could perhaps look into Hamachi, to fake a LAN to be able to play with your friends (if that's what you're after)

IIRC the DS2 multiplayer was fundamentally hosed when released and never really patched into a working state. I had a hell of a time getting my old copy of DS2 to run over Hamachi so I could play with friends and even then is was very buggy (not saving despite saying saved etc). I think when steam got the game for distribution they elected to strip out the multiplayer option rather than fix it. I got it when I bought DS3 (yeah i know, big mistake!) and have never been able to get the multiplayer working.

Yeah, I spent countless hours trying to make DS2 work over hamachi/tunngle, but never quite succeeded. I read somewhere that there is something fundamentally wrong with the game's multiplayer that making it work is damn near impossible (even though some people claimed to made it work).

Considering this is a blog section, I'd assume people click your thread expecting an actual blog entry, not a technical support question for a game from another company.
I'd also assume, if those said people that rate your blog and dont post actually posted, they would be saying things like "this belongs in x sections", "This isn't blog worthy", or "I used to answer technical support questions, but then I took an arrow in the knee."
But hey! At least I commented after I rated.

It's all good, you should write about your adventures in DS!
