Hey everyone, I've decided recently that I want to start a little Starcraft 2 project for myself.
A little bit of info about me before I begin: I am currently a teamless American Protoss player that formerly played for VT Gaming. Since then I've been having some terrible luck finding a team that suits me well. At times this has demotivated me from playing and preventing me from reaching new peaks in my play.
30 Games, per day, till GM. That's the challenge. It will be done on NA server and I will do my best to stream as much of it with commentary as possible. Although I've never been in GM league, I've beat some notable players at MLG events, won some smaller online tournaments, and practice a lot with high level GM players; so for me this is more of a confidence booster then anything. I know I can get there, it's just a matter of putting fourth the effort.
At the end of each day I will post an update in this blog recording my process as well as my notes on the day. I will analyze the replays that I lose and look over all the mistakes I make and do my best to make sure I don't repeat them.

The single hardest thing about 30 games per day is getting the rest of your life in order beforehand so you don't have stuff getting in the way. GM is pretty damn hard to get in to atm, I hope you're willing to continue this until the new season comes out. Even top GM caliber players like pokebunny have been stuck in masters for quite a while; the system is disappointingly rigid.

Good luck Whiplash! 30 games sounds like a lot but I'm sure you can do it. Its too bad that GM is kind of a flawed system so it you may not get in even if your mmr i high enough. Definitely will try to catch your stream.

Dude, how do you have the time? Are you working/studying? I have a really hard time imagining you could be doing either of these and achieve this 0_o

Getting GM on NA isn't really a question of how much you play Hippylash but whether or not there's an open slot 
But you also need to go on sick winstreaks to raise your mmr a lot~

Whiplash, you do realize that getting into GM is not a matter of skill, but a matter of luck and timing right? I'm sure that you're of high enough MMR to be in GM, but if you don't play at the right time, you won't get into it. There is no difference between high masters and GM except a shiny logo. Playing 30 games a day to get better is a good goal, but you could easily play 1 game a day and look at the GM league to see when a spot opens up if you want GM.

Lol it won't take that long, I think it will take 1-2 weeks, 3 at the absolute most, and I say that much because GM league will probably be full for awhile even when my MMR is high enough to get into GM so I will have to keep playing until a spot opens

I currently have a good amount of free time until the next college semester starts. I don't have any other time consuming responsibilities until then.

Smurf, the guy that was right behind you in your division, tried doing this. It didn't work. He lost a ton of games and 300 points. I use to be like this, and now I've started pacing myself and doing a lot better.
With that said, ladder doesn't really matter---if its good practice, its good practice!

Yeah it's possible to get into GM quickly if you mass ladder - Elfi got into GM on his new account in 6 days.

Good luck! I'm sure you can do it. I don't really know that much about your games except hearing your name a few times in MLG brackets, but i really enjoy your casts with Orb (i'm not confusing you with anyone else am i?) so go go!

That is indeed me casting with orb!
I've played 24 games (27 including a few bad customs by me) and I have a few more to go, so it looks like I will easily be able to hit my goal for each night. I guess I will be posting a overall summary of each day for my progress and hope to see a steady improvement.

GL :\ but the GM on NA is full of one game ever few day players...so there might not be a slot :\ so its not about how any games u play...but how long till someone drops out :\
