Hello gorgeous starcraft players,
so this is going to be the random blog of my experiences and hopefully progress in the game of starcraft.
In my lifetime I have played maybe 4 games against computers on ...easy. Haha
Some of you may be wondering why this random girl wants to learn how to play starcraft? Even though she sucks at most games?
My boyfriend would say “Day 9 Daily 100”, which is pretty much the lines of it..
But after attending Blizzcon 2011, and watching games live..I was pretty much like “WOW”, this is pretty awesome, and the dedication and endurance amazes me. So here I am, purchased Starcraft 2 a few days ago. Let’s see how this pans out.
My goals for the game? Hmm....Make it into diamond so the bf can give me the Team Liquid Team Shirt! Lol. (I know almost too ambitious) I'll just try to make him proud by playing half decent.

Already did that with my gfs, but it was more of the lines of them stripping off my clothes while I tried to play. X_X

This is obviously an advertising post trying to generate traffic for your real blog; people get banned for advertising links in their very first post. But then again, your angle is SC2 related, and you posted in blogs so it'll be interesting to see how the mods react, or if at all.

Welcome to the community! Hope the game and your expectations don't change your mind, SC2 is challenging but keep at it and you'll surely improve!
If you're just starting out, taking a little stab at the campaign can't hurt. If you're a badass you can go straight into ladder ^^

Good for you if you want to learn to play sc and become good.
Please don't use TL to generate traffic for your blog though. HM may have a harsh delivery but he's right- I wouldn't show up to the store you worked and try to sell my products to your customers would I?

Good luck, try your hardest not to give up. It will take some.... getting used to. Especially the losing. Then again, unlike most you know of us, the best group of people to help you out when you need help in SCII/SC:BW, Team Liquid. Also, there are other girls here as well so you won't be lonely  .

Try to make it more of a social thing. Get with people on skype and practice with them. Use the teamspeak thing off TL. I think that'll make it easiest for you to get into, as a girl.

Take SC2 at a leisurely pace. Don't expect to get good really quickly. BTW diamond will be tough.

What are your plans for SC2? Campaign? Ladder? UMS? I think just focusing on one thing will help you improve the fastest. Then again, you can do whatever you feel like lol.

Mmm I think I just want to start out with Campaign see how that goes. Just enjoy the game and then start to slowly progress. I think that's the plan anyways. =p

As someone who also had no previous RTS experience I find campaign mode to be very helpful (not sure how good it is for SC2 but I really like it on BW.) I wish you luck ^.^

Good luck, and yeah as other people suggested here, try out the campaign and do not "rush" through it - try to fully engage yourself in the campaign. Play it once, play it again if you wanted to try to beat it another way, play it again to experiment... okay well three times might be too much, but definitely don't hold back from exploring all the depths in the campaign.

I've found that this is the most frustrating game I've ever played but once I started regularly winning and getting better, it was very rewarding.

HEY, here at TL, there aren't that many women. Alright, I don't care if they're not good at SC or if they have interests other than being a valuable member of the community or if they get more attention than men for doing average things. We like our women at TL. Let us have our women. Be nice to her. Lol
