So I started doing some casting out of boredom a few weeks ago and figured I should put myself out there for some criticism. All my casts are at My Youtube Channel (Stephano/MKP G1 or Stephano/WhiteRa G3 are a good sample) and any suggestions/advice would be much appreciated!
In terms of the future I have 3 plans:
1. From some advice on reddit to improve diction/remove filler words I'm going to do some 'speed-casting'. So take a replay, crank it up to 4x or 8x and cast the game that way. I'm kind of curious to see how it goes, I did debate for 7 years so I used to be able to maintain a high rate of delivery so we'll see if I still have it. This will just be for fun and won't be my focus.
2. I'll probably be taking a replay every now and then and going through it analytically as well. I had this thought after watching Losira vs. Ailuj at MLG Providence and seeing how Losira dropped spores, expecting DTs, at his natural when he scouted Ailuj's natural and saw a late nexus + low sentry count when it was just a case of nerves on Ailuj's part leading to a subpar build.
3. A short SportsCenter/Around the Horn weekly show that covers GSL in a highlight reel and the happenings in esports.

I like your vocal tone, it's pleasant. The flow of your speech is really solid as well, you have good transitions. I watched a couple videos and in some videos it seems you're much more engaged and enthusiastic. A couple of the other videos I had listened to you seem to just be going through the motions during the introduction.
Either way, keep on keepin' on Shaetan. If you're serious about it, invest in a better microphone that adds more bass to your voice to give it a more crisp and smooth sound. I know it seems like it's a small improvement, but it jumps quality up leaps and bounds and keeps people more engaged.

Yea I think I just wore myself out those days and just did a cast for the sake of getting it up. Stamina should come with more practice and I'll be a bit more aware of my own limits.

Could you recommend any good microphones? I'm just using the headset one on my Razer Carcharias right now.

I haven't done any audio recording in a long time, but what you want to get your hands on is a condenser microphone such as a Shure SM7B. The other option is a dynamic microphone such as the SHURE SM58, which is cheaper. It's honestly what you put into it, bud. Condenser microphones require a bit of tweaking, dynamic microphones tend to be plug and talk in my experience.

Hm, bit pricey on my college student budget but good to know for the future. Thanks for the suggestions!

I hear that, man. The Shure SM58 isn't pricey at all as far as I know. If it is the SM57 is cheaper and has near the same audio quality.
