Welcome to another addition of me trying to cook! :D
I made this a while ago, but I got too busy to upload my photos and write a blog post.
Anyway -- Here we go!

Shrimp & Avocado Salad
Prep time: 15-20mins
Ingredients:
1/4 lb of cooked shrimp
1 Avocado
1 can of black beans
some mushrooms (I think I used like 5?)
1 bag of mixed salad greens
Cilantro
shredded parmesan cheese
Dressing:
Salt
Pepper
Lime juice
cilantro
Mix together and eat! :D

Pepper Steak with Fresh Salsa
qq .. the steak is a little bit more done than i wanted. sigh...
Prep time: 30min
Cook time: prob ~20min
Ingredients:
2 lbs of steak -- I think I used London Broil cuts? I forgot
Salt & Pepper
Cayenne Chili
1 Cauliflower
SALSA
1 whole tomato
1 anaheim pepper (use any pepper you like.. usually, i'd throw jalapenos in this, but I was cooking for someone who doesn't like spicy food :0 )
1 shallot
some cilantro
salt & pepper
1/2 juice of a lime
How to make:
1. cut and combine salsa ingredients.
2. Season steak with salt, pepper and cayenne chili
3. Place steak in a hot pan for searing (use a little olive oil)
4. Cook steak for about 7mins or so on each side -- depending on size of the cut
5. remove steak from pan and tent with aluminum foil. let steak rest for a few mins.
6. steam cauliflower!
7. eat and enjoy :D
make this for your next GSL finals party or something ! Yay!

I actually made a club in college called the "food club", which was just an excuse to use school money to cook and throw food parties.

Hahaha :p maybe.
I actually tried making baneling cream puffs before...but unfortunately, they failed. ): I took a risk and used completely whole wheat flour, instead of going a 3/4 cup whole wheat + 1/2 cup all purpose flour.
It made it super dense, and the poor little baneling puffs collapsed on themselves during cooling.
oh well. ): Eventually, I will make them!

It's actually really easy. It just takes time more than anything. :D
The most difficult thing you'll probably have to do is cutting up the veggies. You can totally cheat and just throw in all the salsa ingredients into a food-processor and get pretty much the same results.

Goddamn these look good. But this stuff is like thoe beauty ads, people in photoshop mess with the color hue and saturation and blur to make things look a lot better than in real life. Then when you make it and it comes out looking like shit you just get depreessed. At least for chinese cooking its ok if it looks like shit, i've made/eaten some pretty tasty piles of shit.

D: Lol. I actually didn't color correct these or anything. I'm way too lazy to do personal projects on PS anymore considering I stare at PS at work now.
Though I did take a ton of shots to try to get a tastier angle, i guess!

Not sure how you manage to do this with that delicious food sitting there :D. I don't have the patience to take food photos because I'm always too hungry .
