Well, I realize when I last updated this I was silver, still. I've made it to Gold now(Working hard TRYING to get to Plat. Reasons I'm not already coming up) and have really started to pull an understanding of how my race works better, easier ways to FE, a couple new builds, and generally started learning to get my macro/micro balanced out.
Anyways. The point of this is basically probably a rant, maybe a bit to the point of zerg being a little bit TO good(Once again, I'll get to this later) and why I'm not already plat, or maybe diamond.
So. Season 4 starts...I get my gold replacement(After laddering a TOOOOOON in the between time of 3 and 4). And I play and play. Start finally getting my PvP down...play pretty solid against Terran as usual, and that's about that. I play a ton...start facing plat and eventually a diamond player here or there. I don't play a zerg the first couple days I'm laddering into season 4. Suddenly, out of nowhere, I dunno if it's that Idra started stepping up his game and doing much better in tournaments or what, but I get hit with a sudden influx of Zerg. I dunno why...it just happened.
It used to be my best matchup was PvZ. I found something in that matchup that for whatever reason I can't kill. Ling/Muta. I've tried getting HT for storm, and Zeal/Stalk/Sent...but they're to fast to storm effectively. I've tried Mass Blink stalkers, but Muta's can straight up kill them(For whatever reason zerg seems to mass muta when I get stalkers like that), and archons have to low of a range to really be that effective against those Muta's being so dang fast. Anyways. After losing to this build for...I dunno, 8 and 9 game a day streaks, I finally lost so much MMR I was having to play against silver players again, and close to a demotion. After I finally started getting P and T opponents again, I suddenly was able to climb back up. But even to this day, Muta/Ling is near impossible for me to beat. Even with superior upgrades. How in the world do you combat this?

lol the answer to muta/ling is just gateway units, stalker and ht being your core units. you just have to turtle up in your base (hopefully you have 2/3 bases) and just keep defending against muta. the only reason why your stalkers are losing to mutas is because you aren't macroing well enough (because you're gold, i assume your money floats like 3k midgame). make more gates, get your money down like playing whack-a-mole, and you'll have enough stalkers to deal with it. try not to split your stalker force unless he splits his muta force. storm to deter mutas from attacking your stuff, and if he doesn't micro it's easy win for you. when your stalker count gets high lings wouldnt make much of a difference, because you'll just obliterate them. sentries are important because they -2x3 damage from mutas + glaive wyrm bounces. that's about it.. get cannons at your expos too if you want.

If you turn on guardian shield combined with some defense upgrades the damage of Muta's is almost 0.
When I see a zerg going Muta's I normally just kill him with a 7-8 gate since he can't ever defend that anyway.

Uhm no? Mutas still do damage even with guardian shield, just less.

storm is for the zerglings, if you hit the mutas its just a bonus

It just ended up part of a blog cause when I blog I usually just put whatever's on my mind. Since I've spent the past 2 weeks or so pondering over this Muta/ling ordeal and never came up with a good answer, I figure I'll post it here to let me get it off my chest, and on the plus side maybe the great TL members could help me out.
@ ElusoryX - I do a FAIRLY decent job keeping my money as low as I can, I usually manage to stay around the 1k mark, but you are right, I could be macroing better. I'll just keep working at that, and see how it goes. As far as the sentries, they really don't seem to do TO much to help out, though they do negate a little of the damage. I'll just keep working on macro, like I said. Hopefully the higher stalker count will help out.
@ Jakkerr - Are you talking a straight up push, or defending? My woes are moreso that I can't really defend against the muta's, and when I'm getting the right stuff lings end up a problem for me.
