I jumped up and looked all around, I was looking in the right direction, the tree wasn't there anymore. I shuffled around to find my pocket, I went inside to grab my phone, but only felt a piece of paper. On the paper was an oval, with an X going through the middle. I sprinted out of the woods and headed towards my house. I ran to my back door, and bolted in. My mom was in the kitchen, and when she saw me, it looked like she had a heart attack. "What are you doing home, you said you'd be at the paintball field until ten." I just looked at her, confused. "I left to go to the paintball field with my friends?" "Yes don't you remember, you, Paul, Josiah, and Garrett all left together." "And Brandon." I added in. "Brandon?" she looked at me puzzled "Who's Brandon?" Now it was my turn to look puzzled "You know, Brandon, he's a ginger, wears glasses." "I'm sorry honey, but no one called Brandon was here last night." I ran downstairs, looking for my phone, I found it under a pile of papers with gibberish written all over them. I went through my contacts and found Brandon's number, I pressed call and waited. The next thing I knew a loud, high pitched static was blaring from my phone. I threw it down and ran outside.
I was headed toward the paintball field when I saw the entrance to the woods. I didn't want to go back in there, but I felt there might be some answers in there. I followed the path and found the spot where I woke up, from there I made my way to where the tree was. I looked around and didn't see anything, then I looked left and saw a small clearing, in the very middle, writ in dirt, was an oval with an X through the middle. I could feel my heart starting to race, I looked up, and saw a man, I couldn't see his face, but he wore a black suit, and a black tie.
