Hi.
There is a time that I will play ladder / custom games and After I win there is shitload of rage. I'm thinking to myself WHY?.
I remember old BW days where when you lost, You ONLY thought why you lost and you did everything you could to fix those mistakes. I don't know if you guys have the same feeling like SC2 is more of a whining game than ANY OTHER game that is around right now. Everytime you win/lose you have to deal with something. Someone is calling you names - It's a pretty normal thing in SC2.
So I played today PvZ on Shattered Temple. Game went good for ME, because i was more oriented on macro more than on micro. ALL I was making the whole game was Zealot/Archon( Some storms in between, ofc sentries at start of the game) and of course upgrades( + to dmg and armor as well as charge for zealots). I expanded to my 3rd and 4th pretty fast, faster than zerg.
I could reinforce my army very quickly because I had economy, and so zerg was flaming me about WHY he couldn't defeat simply mass zealot to zealot archon strat. He even was convinced that he lost PURELY because of Archons. But the problem was that he was down on 1 base from the start of the game. I tried to explain to him that Archons in that position don't matter. Roach + Hydra should beat Zealot + Archon with no problems. But when You are down one base or even two, then It really doesn't matter what counters what on "manual" book. I told him that he couldn't reinforce his army, and I could. From which I obtained nice and polite " F*ck You ".

I don't know maybe I'm in nostalgia here. But I remember old BW days where when you lost you just practiced unit controls and watched bunch of replays to see what you did wrong.( ofc there were as well people like that too...)
I don't know yo... Just wanted to post somewhere about this... And I'm curious if it happens to all of you a lot...

yeah... I never really understood why people think its YOUR fault they lost... especially when they don't even know what the resource collection rate graph is. I keep child filter on cause I find it so amusing to have people just go off for minutes without stopping and I have NO honest idea what they have just said to me. But I know they are angry and it makes me smile to imagine the words they might be using lol.

Kind of you to try to reason with him, but I guess it was doomed to fail. Recently some guy made the effort to message me after I lost in a 3:3 just to tell me that I was a noob. Since I was offraceing I agreed with him, he got very confused.
I do have a feeling that the NA server is a little bit worse than EU. I remember that US-East was a real shithole in BW.

If the game is close, people are often more polite. But if you simply outmacro them and they do hero hold mode and try to micro as fast as they can, they sometimes rage. I don't mind talking with them, if they message me, but I don't use swear words or say that they are idiots, just tell them what I think. But I don't talk to people that just call me a noob. They are mostly boring. ^^ If they are creative with their swearing then I continue my conversation.

It's got a lot to do with the demographic, most players are teenager or in their early twenties. They have a poor mentality, the so-called fixed mindset, are spoiled and a rampant lack of empathy.

I think I've had less than 5 cases of BM in all my SC1 days in ICCup over like 1k games.
SC2 is ridiculously BM compared to BW. There are a lot of lower league people that just blame imbalance even when they were playing terrible. Ehh.. I wouldn't get mad over it, just let it go. They're actually not going to reason with you so no point in trying.

If by lower league you mean Masters and GrandMasters then yes ^^
doesnt matter which league you're in, the race you're playing is always imba as shit if you win. I can think of a couple grandmasters who blamed my race for their loss and not their mistakes

Man I used to get shit on all the time I'n bw told I was complete trash and should never play again. Kept me from playing for years cause everytime I would play again I would get run out

Someone in BW told me to quit starcraft too lol. It made me sad
SC2 has more BM though, whatever, embrace it, it's fucking hilarious when people rage.
