Time for the internet's favorite subject, girls (heavy sarcasm).
So basically the situation, almost stereotypical, is: guy meets cute girl, guy asks cute girl to homecoming, guy gets rejected.
So a little more detail is this, as far as i' concerned she is pretty much everything i want in a girl:
•cute, like makes my knees tremble because i see her cute
•smart, taking all the same AP classes as me and getting better grades
•talented, plays violin, guitar and sings, and is amazing at all of them
For myself, i'd like to consider myself different from almost any other guy in my school. I actually apply myself to what i'm working on, be it music related, personal growth, whatever. I'd also like to think i'm a bit more mature than the other guys, considering almost every single guy on campus wants to get in a girls pants rather than actually get to know them, and for once my feelings for a girl are so strong i simply just want to talk. I admire her so much i don't want to ruin anything by trying to "make a move" or anything that always screws things up like that.
Do you think it would be a good idea to try and explain to her these feelings or should i just let it go?

Let it go! Anyway maybe I'm confused, you asked her to homecoming and she said no but you haven't made your move? Why do you call it a campus if its high school? What makes you think the other guys in your grade don't apply themselves? If this is the first girl you actually want to talk to what makes you different from all the other guys in your grade you just want to get in their pants? Do you think idol worship is a healthy platform on which to build a relationship? If a relation is transitive and symmetric does it have to be reflexive as well? How many elements exist in a power set of of set n? Why do you scorn the internet when all we want to do is help you? Did you know that if you changed the z in your name to an r it becomes a palindrome?

You seem to be the goody goody kind (aren't well all, *sad face*) that never built attraction between you two. What about her, you talk a lot about how you feel towards her, but what does she (as far as you think you know) think about you?

lmao, clearly you've never been in a girls pants. once you start, you can't stop. sex is addictive whether you admit it or not (that's why you fap every night, right?) but honestly, the only reason i don't sleep with every girl that wants to sleep with me is cuz i'd like to stay away from STDs.
edit: btw, when i was in high school, i used to be like you. goody goody, wanted to get to know girls, blah blah blah. but then two things happen, you have sex eventually, and you realize bitches come and go.

You're already on the wrong foot since it appears you're putting her on a pedestal. Get a bit more confidence and treat her more like an ordinary girl, and you'll have more success!

We talk on occasion, but by what everyone else is saying it probably is a good idea to just let it go. I guess i have idolized her a bit :/ and honestly it would probably be best to wait till college, where there is a whole new environment, hopefully guys that i could actually become friends with, more independence/freedom, basically just a fresh start were i can figure out what to do with the things iv learned (if any of them would still apply once i get to college) during highschool. just one year right?
yay for having the life of a "goody goody" nerd, hopefully it actually pays off in the end

You don't have to necessarily just let it go. I'd say talk to her, get to know her better. If she tries to distance herself, or doesn't give you much of a response, that's when you should let it go.

thanks, this with all of the other advice has definitely helped, i think ill do this and definitely will be keeping in mind the other things

How the hell do you know this girl is everything you want when you've, presumably, never been with a girl before?

OP you're creepy.
You've given her a personality and identity without even getting to know her. You may think it's romantic and that you're being nice and praising her, but you're actually being unfair. It's healthier to actually get to know someone and then decide you like them, than to decide you like all these things about someone you don't even know.
It's only happened a few times, but when someone tells me things about my personality that are wrong/clearly an invention in their own head it's really weird and off-putting. My favourite is when people tell me 'you're good with kids!' and I'm like... You know I hate kids, right?
