I don't think IPL wanted to restrict anything but state laws and venue restrictions forced this. Sure IPL could have hosted somewhere else but they also wanted to host a world class event and an event of this size requires so much space etc. Their options as to where to host the event were limited by these factors I'm sure and it might not have been an easy decision for them to host it here.

I'm sure IPL doesn't want to alienate younger fans, they didn't willingly choose this venue to screw over <21... I would still try to fully support IPL and the event as much as you can!!

It does suck though, also consider the young players who wanted to go and compete and can't because they're under 18, Illusion, Pokebunny, I'm sure there are others that would be there if they could but they can't...
