Then I realized you have to be over 21. What? Seriously IGN? What were you thinking? A HUUUUGE portion of SC2's fans are Collage undergrads, and of course kids like myself. You had a million other options and you chose Caesars palace? I'm really irritated by that. It's a little alienating and it basically says to me "no we don't want your money, sit in your house and watch, screw you."
So I found that very disappointing, so now I'm torn. I want to see good SC games, but I don't really want IPL to get anything out of me now. So I'm sure I will not be paying a cent for premium and may not be watching at all.
Maybe I'm overreacting, but it seems like such an arbitrary decision. I'm sure there were DOZENS of hotel ballrooms and such that were open in Atlantic city alone that didn't require you to be over 21, cost the same or less AND didn't require going through the bureaucracy to accommodate players under 21. And there are other cities in NJ. So yeah, I feel a little snubbed. This sends me the message that as a customer, I'm not worth much to them. MLG say, gives me the feeling that they want me buying their stuff. They go out of their way to do PR stuff like giving away free passes when they mess up, and I think a lot better of them for it. I will definitely buy MLG's premium pass when the time comes, and if forced to choose, I would probably favor their events in the future.
TLDR:21 and over? IPL I am disappoint.
