Since then, I've played more Haxball than any other game (even SC2 O_O). However, for the past 3 or 4 months, I've been spending more time managing Haxball than I have playing.
In June, I created the Pacific Haxball League, modeled after the bigger American Haxball league /SP/HB, and we are almost at the conclusion of our 2nd season. /SP/HB has just finished their 4th season, and is about to draft for their 5th season.
Haxball is a ton of fun. It's also really easy to get into because of the simplicity of its controls. I've seen player that I thought were bad blossom into stars in both leagues. Not only is the game fun, but there's a lot of really cool people in the PHL (SPHB too I guess).
Every game night, we have a stream and commentators for about 2 hours broadcasting the games. We only have one more game this week, but next week our playoffs start and some of the best games that we've had were in the playoffs.
Try Haxball out! It's a lot of fun, it's easy to play, and if you want to get good there's a pretty nicely sized community of competitive players (we have 12 teams of 8 and some unsigned people, and SPHB has about 250 or so players signed up for their next draft) where you can show off your skills in front of all the other haxball players.
