I really, really want to attend this event. In fact, I definitely plan on it. However, none of my friends who are into esports can go, and I'm getting somewhat desperate. Time/money is not an issue for me (my 3 day weekend from work is that week).
I'm sure it won't be that difficult finding someone to go with, and possibly room with in Providence. I'm pretty spontaneous and I think that even a strange/potentially awkward situation would work out just fine. My main concern is safety and being in the same hotel room (possibly) with some guy. I'd prefer to room with another girl, or a guy/girl mix.
Just not alone with some dude... I mean, that's a reasonable concern, right? I will SO fly to Rhode Island and stay in some hotel alone. But that sounds... lame!

Trust me, sleeping isn't even your worries. Every event always ends up having some after party and then you just end up staying up the whole weekend. I've done this multiple times and you're really only going to use the shower in the hotel. That bed won't be touched at all from how much fun you will be having.

Try and find notable TL members to room with you. I am considering of going to MLG as well if the cost isn't too hefty (Montreal to RH).
A few female TL members might be going as well I believe.

I personally find that if it's for security reasons (IE getting raped) that it's a good concern to have. I mean like the other guy said (sorry I forget your name!), "Just because you don't crash every time you drive doesn't mean you shouldn't wear a seatbelt."
