Imagine if you see this becomes a really big thing and everyone gets to see your logo! *jealous* Funny thing is that's how I've always pictured this sort of thing to happen. "thats a good idea, lets expand on it" "hm, i dunno, lets take a step back" "you know i liked the first one the most, lets use that" -_-

Nokarot United States1410 Posts September 18 2011 13:15 GMT #22 Some dude on the design contest thing just called the contest a fraud Kinda grinds my gears because I worked really hard on it all, but he's probably just butthurt he didn't win (let alone participate.) His reasons being that the contest holder ended it 24 hours before the deadline because the contest website was saying they didn't like contests that had both name and logo requirements (aka: companies should have a name before paying designers, they say.) Being as that I had the only good name prior to the website stepping in, and the company still needed a name, the contest holder decided to just award me the victory early rather than rewriting the entire brief or being forced to create/use someone elses' hard-thought name and tell other designers to use it. Still, kind of insulting to be told by some random dude that I've participated in some kind of fraud. Lots of people would probably just be like "LOL umad" but I kinda take offense I guess.

Working on something for a new contest right now, but there is some 3000+ submissions (higher prize money so more entries) and mine got buried under them and eliminated without feedback. I don't blame the contest holder, though- if he spent 1 minute on each submission he'd have 50+ hours of work on his plate, and a lot of the submissions are absolute trash. But, considering I followed his guidelines pretty well, its hard to know whether I missed the mark on a small detail, or if he merely didn't like the result altogether. Here it is anyway. Some medication to reduce itchiness in dogs/cats. Requirements were that it stay very simple and text-focused (aka no symbol-based logos,) be black and white, and convey the idea of itch reduction. As I said, though, it got eliminated without feedback. Not sure if I should start over, make minor adjustments, or just move on to the next contest. $1120 contest though so I figure I might put in a few more design ideas and try my luck, feedback or no. Edit: Figured I'd make another one. However, if Dude mcContest holder doesn't start providing any feedback, I'll probably just move on.
