The Protoss situation in GSL Code S kinda reminds me of this:

Everyone who played this mission knows how it ends

Adun>>>>>Tassadar.

Good point, barely anyone is going to be practicing vP lol... same for vZ to a lesser extent. People of every race will become better vT much faster than vZ or vP technically.

incidentally this seems very familiar even on the BW scene when protoss were failing against zerg earlier in the year because everyone wanted to snipe flash or something.

There's 17 protoss in GSL overall which isn't too bad. Code S is doomed though. Protoss needs a hero. I feel that as long as there's 1 player in the world who can win GSL with a race then that race is balanced. Last season there were 2 zergs in the finals but MC is the only one who has seemed like he could win and he's out.

HuK, Genius, Killer, HongUn, Puzzle.

Five players out of thirty-two are Protoss this season, and although I like them all, I find it hard to believe that a single one of them has a shot at the semifinals.

At least Leenock is finally in god damned Code S.

I agree, Though I don't think Killer is a very good Protoss, maybe he will get the motivation to pull through for us. I don't think any of the other Protoss can make it through the Terran onslaught. 20 Terrans my goodness

I think all 5 will make it to the Ro16 sheerly due to terrans killing each other off and protoss vT practice.

unless the protoss ends with a group of 2 zergs and a terran they will be fine,I just hope no protoss is in the same group.

Just be thankful T v T is a very dynamic, entertaining matchup. Imagine if it was P that was op, and you knew you had to watch several hundred 10 minute 4 gate wars?

I'm more eager to see PvP at this point than another TvT

Vouch this.

Skip past the stereotype that all PvP is 4gate.
PvP was getting really really interesting to watch (especially watching Koreans because unit control and builds are so crisp). Now I'm going to hate myself even when I'm watching PvP in GSL because I know for sure 1 more P is getting knocked out.

Its amazing how you bring Flash in here somehow rofl

Protoss is having tough times in both games right now.

What about HuK? He got Soooo far and would have gotten to the semi's 100% if he haddent faced MVP in quarters. Spoilers sorry :D.
So what ,i just walk up to security and go: "Whats up bitches i'm huk!" or what... - HuK

I guess that makes HuK the best Protoss in GSL (accomplishment wise at least). Puzzle may have what it takes but this is starting to feel like BW right now.

And that's exactly how the group stage will look.

Seriously, out of the 5 protosses, 3 are just bad (Killer losing against random foreigners, Genius still playing at his beta level, Hongun relying on allins), Huk is just slightly better than them (best foreigner hands down, but that's not enough for code S terrans + depends how much is he traveling). Puzzle will have the biggest chance, but it will depend on the group.

I wish there was a group full of protosses so there are 2 tosses guaranteed to make it to ro16. Otherwise there will most likely be only one protoss in ro16.

Our hope lies in code A. Let's hope MC will get back to code S together with Sage and JYP (who deserved to get to code S the most from today's up and downs) who are showing great and inovative protoss play.

The reason why the protoss race came to an end is because they lost the technologies to create sentries.

I seriously think JYP is the new protoss hope. Yea, he is still in Code A but he is so fun to watch and original. I think he's seriously Code S Caliber if he can just upgrade a bit his PvT.

GSL October is, in my opinion, the most exciting season for protoss in months. The amount of high potential new blood that has been inserted into Code A this season is an incredibly exiting prospect. Code S, of course, looks very dim (except I think that puzzle is the real deal), but this season will be the first step in the rebuilding of protoss competitiveness (and hopefully eventually dominance) in the GSL.

Yeah... I get this feeling as well. It's rather unfortunate.
