I've come to really enjoy HoN (bought a verified account a week before it went F2P) and lately have started to play SC2 again. I'm really happy to have made my decision to leave pro gaming. It definitely isn't for me anymore - what with the many ups and downs i've had in the ~1+ year I've had in SC2. In about a week or 2 I'll be back at school for my last 4 months of undergrad, then I follow up with 8 months of masters. So even if i really wanted to, I can't really fully commit to a high performing team.
I've met a lot of people thru the SC2 community who I've learned a lot from and who I've spent hours and hours gaming/chilling with, and it's been a great time.
Many thanks to Ryan, Hazen, Sam, Sung Min, Brendon, John (who I refer to as Ganon all the time), Brett for all the fun times~~
And also thanks to Scott, Jason Lake, compLexity, Allen, Diamond, Raelcun, the Toronto SC2 community, and all the other people who I hope I didn't forget to name whoI've really enjoyed my time with.
Thanks to the people who have really helped me further my understanding of the game and who tried to get me to practice =) - to Sam, Julian, Sung Min, Ryan
I took about a month and a week break from sc2 but have found that it still is kinda fun, time to time. Went 10-3 in High masters playing against GM and very top Masters players. I should still be able to make GM league I think with enough games, so I'm going to try to get to GM and maintain a position within GM once I get in (until I absolutely get 100% bored with the game again, then I'll take another break).
I'm also going to aim to get to 1800 points in HoN. I'm about 150 games in and I'm at 1640, I think another 200 games or so should put me at 1800 reliably and comfortably. Just need to learn exactly what the rest of the heroes do because I'm still clueless with a few heroes hahaha, and I guess watch some more HoN casts to get a better idea of high level metagame.
