Anyone else tired of mentioning Euros in NASL?

Ever since this whole Korean debacle started, I've probably seen more than a hundred posts like "The NASL doesn't need Koreans in it, it's the NORTH AMERICAN Starcraft League" or something to that effect. And then every time there's a response about how Europeans and South Americans are in the NASL. Are people really that dense that this keeps needing to be repeated?

In short: To whomever keeps mentioning that Koreans shouldn't be in the NASL because they aren't North Americans or something, stop acting like Koreans were the only non-North Americans in the NASL.

God just so annoying.

Euro's are a lot closer to the USA then Korea. theres a lot of good (and bad) history that brings us both together. Most of the people in NA (north of mexico) come from europe so it doesn't really seem like that far away.

I'm going to say that it has little to do with where people come from (that was like 250 years ago).
In BW there wasn't much difference between Europeans and Americans and just like everyone else not Korean they got lumped into the foreigner group.

I thought I was the only one who made that comment. Therefore I feel a need to defend myself. If the Koreans don't want to come to NASL that's fine. I won't cry for them or argue against NASL for them.

The foreigners can play just fine.

You missed the point completely. The point is Koreans weren't the only non-NORTH AMERICANS in the NORTH AMERICAN Starcraft League. So there's no point in emphasizing the "North American" in in regards to the player pool since there are still non-North Americans in the NASL like Europeans and South Americans. The only reason NA is in the name is because it takes place in North America.

Perhaps you missed the point. The Koreans aren't coming to NASL, at least most of them. The Europeans are.

If that's the point you're arguing, then you don't seem to have any idea of what this topic is about. Either read through the topic post again or stop trolling.

lol?

why does it even matter? it takes place in NA, so it can be called North American Star League all the hell it wants, and as a general rule, its always been Korea vs the World, and who the hell wants to call a league the "FSL" ???

btw, why you hate NA people?

edit: FSL = Foreigner/Foreign Star League

As someone who doesn't follow the SCII scene, I laughed quite a bit when I saw all the interviews from "foreign" players for the NASL. Personally, if I gave a damn about SCII, I'd say the more the merrier and would be happy to have Europeans, South Americans, Koreans, and anyone who wanted to play, in the tournament. But I still think North American Starleague implies a league for North Americans.

Segregating the world into Korea and Foreign like BW will not be good for Foreign for they will fall behind in metagame, strategies, mechanics, awareness, and experience.

But yes, those who think the Koreans not coming to NASL is a good thing because NORTH AMERICA does not include Korea get quite annoying.

this is why many people who play broodwar dont take starcraft 2 or its proscene seriously, you all get into competitive leauges, and when players who are better than you arrive you take it as a negative, you act like the consequence is on them to leave as a result of your inequity in skill level as opposed to you bettering yourselves so that you can go to their level. Anyways its ridiculous that noobs are claiming rights to boot the good players, because of their own noobness. Also northamerican starleauge does not mean anything about north american players only, it means that the games are situated in north american territories, other wise the non- north americans would not be able to play at all as per tournament rules .
