Alright so this is a problem ive been having recently. I wake up ladder for about 4-5 hours and cram in alot of games. Which is fine i love doing it and its not like i get bored or something like that. The problem is that it seems like my skill takes a nose dive at about the 5 in a half hour mark. Now ive tried custom games and just taking a break but it doesnt help much the only fix is to stop all together and do something else. Got any tips to help increase my endurance for some more SC2 action.

Terran since Brood War will be Terran till I die love me some Terran

I think the key to playing lots of games maybe to take a short break after each game to get up and walk around etc. instead of taking a massive break when your hands are about to fall off.

Also, just stretching your hands out and stuff like that before playing. I would also like to say that grinding out a massive amount of games isn't the best for improvement (obv. different at the highest level of play to maintain mechanics and mechanics only) and that you should try to get the most out of each and every game you play.

Uh... after about 5 hours and 30 minutes you should stop and take a break. This is a natural thing for your body to want to do after an intense and prolonged period of concentration/exercise/anything really. You will probably find you can stretch out this time a little bit if take a 10 minutes break every hour.

Like anything involving endurance though, it will take small increases over a long period of time to build up.

I think you're okay with 5 hours of laddering a morning though. It's good to do other things. If it must be sc2 related specifically, watch replays or some pros streaming to help you improve in a different way than just churning out increasingly poor ladder games.

alright i will definately incorporate the breaks between games and stretching for sure and im only in plat so i know ive got a long way to go before i need to just grind out rediculous amount of hours into games to keep my mechanics up right now im struggling with unit compositions and timings which is why ive been so hard into grinding out huge hours of sc2.

Yeah though, take care of yourself! Pros go to the gym, eat well, and drink water so that they can handle the stress of travel and long gaming sessions.

1) take a short break beforehand [could probably get more gaming time in as a whole if you split it up
2) eat etc
3) Work out. Basically all the progamers advocate some exercise which will increase your endurance. ;]

Also I guess energy drinks or something along those lines?
