I'm honestly not a very big fan at all of your blogs Riku. But I like the part when you described the guild tournament and how your hands were shaky at the end. It's something I can relate to.

I've played a few marathon games myself before. Longest ever was something like an hour and 12 minutes. Chilling with Day[9] would also be pretty cool, although I don't he'll be in Waterloo anytime soon, even though we have the best CSL team. He'd probably avoid it like the Plague since CombatEX goes here...

Sounds like a case of "I take ladder as serious and competitive gaming." I found that the best way to play is to not give a fuck. No one cares about your ladder rank anyway. This isn't LoL or WoW where people will blame you if you wipe the raid or feed the team. And as long as you put an effort to improve with every game (but not caring about winning/losing), you should have a relaxed time gaming while slowly becoming gosu.

Thats my approach to SC2 anyway.

Actually, I don't get very nervous against random people! It's losing to friends and people I know that makes me get all worked up! I guess i'm just afraid of showing weakness, my friends respect me and my skills in a lot of things, so it pains,me to admit I utterly suck at rts

Just be like "Alright I'll 1v1 u in sc2 but then we 1v1 in LoL/WoW"

Then kick their ass in a solomid 1v1 or a wow duel

Also this won't get better until you get better! Play more and get better at sc2 so you won't have to be so embarrassed and will feel more at home here (since these are first and foremost starcraft forums)

Aw, I'm sorry about your lost chances =/ Sometimes I tell myself:" JUST DO IT. ASK THE CUTE GUY OUT. Later on when you're old and wrinkly, you'll laugh it off if it failed." But it doesn't work. Hopefully, something will happen that'll put you on a tilt towards asking him out. Good luck.
